Yours looks awesome, and if you didn’t know, black and white/greyscale color coordinated collages are my favorite graphic designing projects EVER, so it speaks to my soul.

I really don’t think your hair (especially in the second picture) is all that bad. 🙂 If I were you, I’d focus on maybe making the strands thinner (perhaps a sharper pencil?) and using a kneaded eraser to brush through the whole thing in some parts, making some hairs appear lighter than others.
