@Kayla-Joy @Lady-Iliara The problem with killing Loki is that at this point, I doubt anyone would believe he’s actually dead… he’s already come back, what, twice now? Marvel shot themselves in the foot with that one. 😂

@Kayla-Joy, I’ve heard that from the few introverts who have been kind enough to open up as a friend to a loud kid like me. And they are the coolest people.
But then again, when you get to know people, just about everybody is the coolest people. It’s amazing how many different perspectives there are. Everyone is just… amazing. But I d…[Read more]

@kayla-joy Ah, I understand that struggle. : Sifting through pros and cons is a pain with choices like that!
Another factor that might help you decide is the question of what experiences you have to pull from. Whether or not your experience is direct, you’ll be able to write more compellingly about something that you’ve experienced first- or…[Read more]

@kayla-joy I would say, when deciding whether to add romance into any story, you should always ask the same question you’d ask about any character or relationship:
Does it make the story better?
In other words, a romantic relationship probably isn’t going to work in a story when it’s added in just for funsies. It needs to impact the plot in a…[Read more]

@kayla-joy Yeah, she’s an amazing author–all her that I’ve read work is top notch. (and so unique in every way!)
The first time I read the Emily series I didn’t like the ending, but now I love it. I guess I’ve changed a lot. 🙂 (and yes, now I realize that they are a perfect couple.) I love that series…ahhh…

@kayla-joy I agree about Loki. He needs to have a redemptive death. It would be fitting to his character arc. And @inkling-for-christ that is a mind-blowing theory! It’s so crazy it might be true. I’m scared for this movie….

@kayla-joy It’s funny to me how introverts think extroverts are scary. Like, to me extroverts say all the things on their mind and are easy to read and understand and trust, but introverts are very hard to relate to and I always wonder what they are thinking as they listen to me gab on for an hour without. saying. a. single. twinkling.…[Read more]

@kayla-joy I love it too. I’m so glad I’ve met someone who loves L.M. Montgomery’s lesser-known books!
And yes, it is. My real name is Emma, but my username on a lot of accounts is Emily Byrd Starr. (On AllPoetry, etc.) I decided to change it for Story Embers though, as my pen name. 🙂 Emily is probably my favorite fictional character of all.

@gracelivingston I love meeting fellow pianists!! I have never heard of David Nevue–I’ll look him up. 🙂
@mariposa Oooooh…those all sound heavenly. Yes, I do decorate cakes. 🙂 I don’t do it as a business, but I enjoy making cakes for friends and family on special occasions.
Haha!! Yes, that’s happened plenty of times to me too. 😀 Here’s…[Read more]

@kayla-joy Wow, no extroverted friends? I don’t know if that’s sad or happy, but at least you don’t have to listen to one of us talking forever. And I choose “let’s play a different game” and avoid that situation all together.

@kayla-joy I’m an extrovert, may I answer this too? XD I might pick dare if I was in a group of (good) friends. Otherwise I’d probably pick truth, mostly because I’m a very talkative/tell you all about myself ENFJ.
P.S. The stereotype is true. We really would like to help you with your potato goals.

@kayla-joy People seem to like romance, and I don’t think 9 years is too far apart for a love interest. You just have to figure out which age will benefit the plot and story the best. 🙂

@kayla-joy You could have the love interest younger, and also be the mentor, I think. He doesn’t have to be old to be training her. I think you can get the best of both things 😀
