I have a question. If I’m writing my story in first person, is it ok if i have a lot of sentences that start with I? I feel like I’m using I so much. Any tips?

I’m not really sure. I haven’t really thought too much about it. But I know that the stores I’m writing right now aren’t my “masterpiece” stories. Maybe sometime soon I”ll discover my dream story and write it.

I totally understand what you mean about one story being the “baby”. I would say that The Four Rebels would be equivalent to…the second child? 😀 Because that one is special, but isn’t like my dream story.

Grace, please post some of your story! You have like, what, 34,000 words? I’m sure you can put at least your first chapter.

Ok, I think I get what your saying. But she wasn’t necessarily afraid when she was talking with him, I would say more upset that the soldiers where beating him. If that makes sense? Just let me know what you think I could have done better.

Oh, I did that once. Or sometimes I when I go to graduations, I keep the little sheets they hand out that have everybody’s names on them. 😀

Well, since we have Finish background, we named her Varjella which means “guard/protect”. I’ll send a pic later.

Yes. Lol. Naming your character is like naming your child. 😀 And yes I agree about the last name flowing with the first name. One thing that helps me get the right name is to say it out loud numerous times. It helps to hear if it sounds right.

Yeah, baby name websites are usually the best at finding names. But, yeah, names are VERY important to me. 😀

Yes!!! I think choosing the characters names are super important!! I always look at the meaning of the name and see if it fits my character. Hey Claire,

Did your grandpa know Seaman Huston Ralph Clark Jr.? I found a picture of some stuff from the USS Cobia and it says he died. It had a picture of his funeral on the sub.

I was doing a little research on the Cobia.

I am super interested in learning more about your grandpas interaction in WWII.
