Ugh! I always forget to tag people! *facepalm*
My posts would probably get more recognition if I actually remembered to tag a few people every once in awhile XD
So here I go… @zee @arindown @emberynus-the-dragonslayer @writergirl101
Well that’s everyone I know on this group, but it’s a start. Hope that works

Hi everyone! I’m Erynne (Erin) I joined about a month or so ago, and it didn’t even dawn on me to talk about my romance in this group.
I haven’t actually started yet, but I have very carefully plotted it out (not finished yet though!) The romance part isn’t necessarily the main point of the story but it is a large part, and it’s always nice to…[Read more]

Hrm. The first step to stop shouting into the void is to realize that you are not in a void. You need to go out and grab some people. This is why I like Twitter because I can just follow and retweet and respond to the people I want, and then find out from them what social media content to produce to keep them around.
But who should you invite to…[Read more]

@taylorclogston I’m taking notes. That’s definitely good stuff for Amazon publishing that I appreciated reading.
Mostly the approach I’ve been taking is to build my social media platform and website before publishing any books, because that’s the approach that I feel comfortable with – I want to publish my books to an audience.
But it is a LOT…[Read more]

Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate the time you two have put into responding.
Okay, so there is a little bit to unbox here.
I hope this post doesn’t get confusing, ha.
So, in the first book of my series, Kimberly lives in a different country with her best friend Hannah (also a main character, I have 2 p…[Read more]

I am really impressed with your convictions to write Godly romance. I’m also a teenage girl who’s never been on a date…so I don’t really know anything about this, but I do have some ideas.😄
Like Zee said, making Kimberly really insecure in other areas of life will make her reluctance to start a relationship with Carter more…[Read more]

Sounds like you’ve put a lot of thought into this @rebekah-elizabeth, but I have to wonder, since the story isn’t a romance, and thus the relationship between Kimberly and Carter is, at most, a side plot, I wonder if there might be a different way to show Kimberly’s lack of trust and fear of being hurt if she commits to a relationship? You might…[Read more]

Hello, fellow writers!
My current WIP is not technically a romance, so I am sure that I seem a little out of place here, but I need some advice.
I am trying to create a romance in my story, but am having a really hard time with it. My main character, who I will name “Kimberly” for this post, struggles with feeling like she cannot commit to a…[Read more]

Hello everyone! I know my name is confusing, but you can call me Mia (inkling, or flame, or whatever). If any of y’all are in the fiction then you know they talk a ton (well more then we do 🤣) Maybe everyone here is an introvert. Anyway, I’m brand new to writing contemporary fiction, but I love the idea and I have a story idea!
I do have a qui…[Read more]

That was beautiful. You are really quite right. I have that a little bit in my book, but when you put it like that, I should use that analogy a lot more.
I fully intend to make my romance novel as appropriate as possible.
Thanks!

Well, if you look at the big picture, the Bible is the biggest romance book there is!
The entire story is pointing to when Christ marries the bride for which he died for!
I’ve never written romance novels, and i dont neccessarily plan to, but I mean, how cool is that? It starts with the bethrothed bride running away, because she hates the man…[Read more]

@josiah Thank you for the advice! I appreciate all that you do for SE members, and, though I don’t often have time to be active on the SE forum, the influence you and the other staff members have had on me over the past few months through the podcast, summit recordings, and emails has been invaluable. Thank you so much!
