@literatureforthelight, @bama-rose, @eden-anderson,
I think my favorite was The Icebound Land, because the plot seemed so different than the rest. My friend who lent them to me said I shouldn’t read the last one where Will was old, ’cause she didn’t like it, so I never did. 🙂

Progress is progress! *throws confetti*
Hey, glad your here!!! That’s okay if you don’t post your numbers much! Hope the words continue to flow!!

Hey Saxon Scribes,
For something like six months now, we’ve studied character development every week. It’s been a good journey, but now I’m coming to the point where I don’t have a whole lot more to discuss. If anything else comes to mind, I’ll make a topic out of it, but if nothing comes to me, next week I think we could start on something…[Read more]

Alright guys. This week’s word count for Good or Evil: 3,229 words.
I wrote the most words on Tuesday with 877 words. Mostly because of the word war. I usually write a little more than 300 words in a day.
And just for good measure, the total word count for the month of October: 5,824 words.
Yeah, I didn’t write very much this past month. But…[Read more]

@literatureforthelight Right, there’s no writing prompt for this month.
Tell you what, handwriting is fine, we’ll just need to create a fair way to estimate its total accurately. Here’s what I’m thinking. You can count the average words per page from a selection of two-three pages (depending on how big they are) then multiply it by the number of…[Read more]

As everybody knows a giant Word War is going on right now. Happily for all the people participating in NaNoWriMo, because they have double motivation. When they write in their WIP they get words in for NaNoWriMo and for the Word War.
It’s a little bit harder for those of us not participating in NaNoWriMo. At least it is more me…maybe I’m the…[Read more]

Okay, awesome! This sounds like a lot of fun! And even though I’m not doing NANoWriMo, I’ll see what I can do.
Speaking of which, I’m gonna have to find some sort of serious motivation to push me on…since I kinda lack in that area.
😑
Any suggestions, people? ( @literatureforthelight how do you motivate yourself? )

Guys, this is crazy. A little sad. Absolutely awesome.
The word war. How’d we do?
We actually beat the record from past guild wars! I was amazed. We had 51,082 — a whole novel’s worth in a week.
So, the winner?
……
With 72,127 words, it goes to Parimi Alca. I’m super impressed with those guys, especially since I’ve heard they’re the…[Read more]

@eden-anderson Oh, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to make you feel bad! 🙁 (You could always move to Missouri, since hedgehogs are legal here. 🙂 ) @rosemarylouise, aw, don’t make me cry. (Reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit. *sniffles*)

@eden-anderson Of course Ferdinand is real! You may not be able to see or feel him, but he’s real. Just hold on to him.
@literatureforthelight How did I miss that there’s a “subscribe” button? I’ve been on here for what? Almost three months and I never noticed? Wow, I have a lot of catching up to do.

I have traveled for many weeks, it feels like years. The path. The dark looming path. And I had traveled it alone. When I finally arrived I thought it was just a pit stop. I thought I would continue on alone. Forever alone.
I peer into the dimly lit room, the candles glowing warmly and people sitting around a table, some standing up and…[Read more]

I nod, making my way around the table to the newcomer who just burst into the hall, breathless, eyes alight. “That’s a very good question. One that everyone here should answer.” I stick out my hand to… Germaine? Yep, that’s what it says. “Do you like raspberries?”

Yeah, I was having trouble at first being comfortable here because I’m not used to this and I can be shy, but I’m getting better.
Also, you like Rangers Apprentice!?! Thats amazing! *high five*

Hey Saxon Scribes. I think I missed last week somehow, but thankfully I remembered just in time today.
Let’s talk about relational development. Just like the meaning we bring to the world is often found in our relationships, usually the best character development is actually relational development between one character and another.
