How would one determine whether or not a subject should be used for his poetry, if certain subjects were taboo? If you’re sacrificing meter and rhyming scheme for genuineness, all you’re left with is genuineness–no poetry at all. I can’t agree with that enough Anne, some people are just evil and narcissistic, and that is all there is to it.

And I totally agree with you on a personal level because free verse has become my preferred poetry writing style for some of the same reasons as you shared.
