@j-a-penrose Oh dear. Six hours? I think last week I spent that much time trying to figure out how cells make energy. xD I won’t be having any more creative writing assignments this year—it was just those two in October, so I have to work on my own projects for my word count. Trouble is, I’m plotting again. *facepalm* Are you doing all that in…[Read more]

YES!
Everyone we got this! WE’RE GOING TO WIN!!!
*cheers*
Though… I suddenly realized the other day while talking about guilds that our victory is still not documented in the Hall of Fame. :'( No sure why… xD
@j-a-penrose Lol I love that sentence! It’s cracking me up right now. xD

@j-a-penrose, I got a bunch out of the prologue and epilogue lessons too. I also loved the hint dropping, plot-twist, and timing of back-story. I’d love some more info on the plot twisting! The lessons on the whole have been super good though! I’ve learned a lot 🙂

Hmm, I think my favorite lessons were the prologue and epilogue ones, because (well, for one, misused prologues and epilogues are still one of my pet peeves :P) it ended up working out perfectly to have the two reflect each other in Dahop’s Ember. It really helped bring out the theme and motifs that will be used through the whole s…[Read more]

I was wondering, did we have a dedicated thread for reporting times we’ll be absent? I ask this because I’ll be under the gun until around Thanksgiving, but wasn’t sure where to mention it.

@j-a-penrose Well, I guess I’d have to say that the thing I struggle with most right now, is staying within the mind of my main character even though I’m in 3rd person POV. I do better at putting myself in her mind when I’m in 1st person, but 3rd person works best for my current WIP, so…

What an awesome idea! Erm, here are a few verses (all from NKJV) about light that I dug up. We could possibly use these to compose a song.
