Hi lovely Saxon Scribes. ‘Tis I, emerging from hyperspace like the Millenium Falcon with a blown hyperdrive and three dozen Tie-fighters on her tail.
Have I been watching The Force Awakens? Yes I have.
Seeing as this month’s theme is writing lifestyle, I thought this would be a great time to have a Mutual Encouragement Moment. We all have…[Read more]

Greetings folks,
Today we’ve got a well-needed post from Jess about staying alive and being fruitful. Because all writers are monomaniacs and all monomaniacs are unhealthy.
Stay healthy, people. More info below.

@gabriellepollack Thank you! *catches glitter and stows it away for future use*
@ericawordsmith Don’t trust anyone—we writers are dangerous. 😜
@scribbles *blinks* My subconscious apparently wrote a Star Trek reference in there and I didn’t even know it. 😳

Thank you guys so much for your ideas. I think as of now, I have good enough reasons for her to be there without readers rolling their eyes at me. Haha. Initially, I thought when the story starts off she would already be sick/having issues. But when I figured out that it made more sense for her…[Read more] -

“Wow!” you say. “You created a tag, that’s so

Well, yes, it’s a tag. But it’s a little bit different. I started something called Project Inspire. Basically, a mission to spread inspiration, motivation, and appreciation throughout the blogosphere. And if you would like to learn more…[Read more]

@pursuewisdom If memory serves me, we had some different perspectives, but I’ll tag @brandonmiller and @gabriellepollack for their direct thoughts.
I wouldn’t call Ray a Mary Sue because she flaws and fails at points. Her parentage is regularly a weakness of hers in TFA and TLJ, and she’s easily manipulated by Ren & Snoke. In TFA, she also lost…[Read more]
