@ariella-newheart Hmm… So I can’t relate to any of that, but I understand completely. I can’t offer much advice other than to keep your head up, keep a stiff upper lip, and if people tease you or make fun of you or whatever, ignore the heck out of them. Don’t take criticism from someone who you wouldn’t go to for advice.
But at least you have…[Read more]

Greetings one and all.
That’s right, it’s Snapper. And she’s decided to do NaNo. Why? Well, because this would appear to be the best possible year for success. So here’s hoping I can get in those 50k words.
The only problem is that I’m not exactly sure how one goes about doing this.
So… how does one go about doing this? Finding a good story…[Read more]

@steward-of-the-pen Good to see you too!
I’ve been brainstorming a new WIP that’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi. The change in genre has been a fun break, so I’m going to keep at it for a bit before diving back into Dahop’s Ember.
Cool! I have had a couple ideas for post-apocalyptic stories, but they never went anywhere. Fantasy is my primary genre.…[Read more]

Hey, guys, I’ve an idea: to write a series of poems that evoke feelings within people. (Don’t laugh). Meaning basically this: you read a poem about, say, bread; and it makes you want a slice of bread with a great dripping of the tongue. Now it can be of food, yes. But also of other…[Read more]

@sarah-inkdragon Hey, that’s okay. 😀
I don’t really agree with this. Even mental illnesses that aren’t caused by trauma are still legitimate. Anxiety (which isn’t considered a mental disorder, so technically doesn’t enter into this conversation) and depression are legitimate and I don’t think it’s true to say that they are all “self”…[Read more]

@ariella-newheart How’s school going for ya?
Yeah so I finished the first-and-a-half draft of my short story, which is awesome. And I’m about to start another one, for language arts. We’ll see how it goes.
Thank you for asking! I can’t think of anything for myself right this second, but as December comes closer, more prayers for all my family…[Read more]

Hello, peoples! I’m back…for a little bit. While I haven’t been absolutely swamped with schoolwork, I’m still adjusting to my new schedule and haven’t been able to catch a break to see y’all. How goes the writing? Are there any ways I can pray for you guys? 🙂

@evelyn What ever style of music I’m listening to is usually what I write. My most recent one is weirdly reminiscent of a long song, which is strange for someone who never listens to romance-y music, but oh well. *shrug* I often get inspiration from thinking of a song title and then trying to figure out what it could possibly mean. xD

Yea, I like the way it floats off the tongue. SNyD; the one of libraries, right? Same here.
Nice; I just got the first good rain this morning. Woke up to it. It was great. You ever heard of the word petrichor? It’s one of my favourite. It means the feeling you get when you betake your nose to the smell of rain after it has rained.…[Read more]

Well, I like Shut Not Your Doors, Autumn Rivulets, and The Ship Starting among other various pieces. I like the way he flows in and out in a broken yet continuous motion. His main technique, I think, is his use of longer words, and though they are sometimes unrecognizable, they really fit with the rhythmic tune of it all.
