@kate ohhhh. *facedesk* That makes more sense. I guess I’m too used to The Lunar Chronicles as my sci-fi. XP Yeah, I didn’t really catch the part that her blood changes color, but I think it’s awesome! Like @bama-rose said, I think you could definitely make it apparent, even in a short story.

@eden-anderson Hi! I felt that God was calling me to some type of mission work and He just opened the doors to Hillcrest! It has been pretty amazing! Busy, but it has been awesome! Now that I’ve been here nearly a month, I hope I have my schedule down so I can start doing the things that I love.

So guys, I feel like we need an emotional dilemma. Who was it that suggested depression/suicidal thoughts? I think that could actually match really well. Maybe the character dived into the kelp forest hoping to find death there.

I haven’t gotten any negative reviews yet. I’ve gotten one that wasn’t very helpful and was “bad” in that sense, but so far any negativity I’ve gotten has been mixed in with positive comments, or else more apathetic than outright bad.
