Alright, alright I’m emerging from my hobbit hole now. LOL 😆
Would you rather be jailed or exiled?
Willie: Hmm. . . Being exiled could be interesting. I guess I’d rather be exiled than be in jail.
Jordan: Wow. I’ve already spent a night in jail. Ehh it was okay. Exile would be nice.
Judah: I’ve already…[Read more]

Umm…I absolutely love Angus, too. I’m kinda hesitant to admit this, but I have a stuffed sheep named after him that always sits on my bed. (Also, agnus is Latin for “sheep,” so I feel like that fits.)
I haven’t read the Faith and Freedom trilogy, but I might have to when I have the chance. What is it about? Are Angus and Duncan,…[Read more]

@amaustin, you’re really named after Arwen from the Lord of the Rings? (Sorry about the stalking, I was just scrolling thru other pages and that stood out to me) If so, that’s awesome!
Also, in your favorite authors on your profile, you mentioned Douglas Bond. Have you read his Crown and Covenant series?

@lydiajoy
Yes, I am! And not after the one in the movie either. (Thank goodness!) It’s a fun name to have, and I have discovered it’s the only name that could ever fit me. I’ve never met anyone else with my name, but it’s kind of fun to watch people get confused and hesitantly repeat it. Although, it’s also nice to have them immediately recognize…[Read more]-

If it wasn’t clear, Angus is my favorite character. 🙂 Also, have you read Douglas Bond’s Mr. Pipes books? I’ve only read a couple of those, but they’re so good.

@lydiajoy
I love that you have a sheep named after him!! That is so perfect!
It is set during the revolutionary war in America, and as best as I can tell, like 50-70 years after they leave Scotland. More or less the Revolutionary war. The first one is about Malcolm’s grandson, and Malcolm is in it, and I think Jenny might be a little bit (?) but…[Read more]

@amaustin Oh, I love your name!😍 Do you pronounce it like Arwen Evenstar from Lord of the Rings?
Baby books can be great…but sometimes they have weird meanings for great names. Do you ever make up meanings for names you invented? I want to sometime.
I usually say my name Air-n-down, but I’m not picky (actually, I say it Are-in-down half the…[Read more]

Hey, I like your plot. Sounds like something I would like reading.😊 I would say spending time to develop the plot and characters would be a great idea, whether or not it’s a total romance. The deeper the characters, the better the relationships will be.
I hope this isn’t too personal, but is your name actually Ari? I LOVE that name.😍…[Read more]

I think it is possible to insinuate too much. When I’m afraid of crossing a “line” and being inappropriate or insinuating, I question whether I would let my parents (they’re always helpful when you’ve gone too far) or one of my younger sisters read it. If not, maybe I need to adjust something.
I love the idea of having the main romance…[Read more]

I haven’t read the Scarlet Pimpernel, although I should because I’d love to read someone “sticking it to” the French Revolution. I remember the Scarlet Pimpernel was mentioned in the Larry Norman song “Without Love (You Ain’t Nothin’)”. Yeah, I’m that old. My future spouse and I actually went to a Larry Norman concert back in the day.

I think the Bible leaves a lot of room for romance…within certain boundaries. I wouldn’t base my romances off many biblical characters for obvious reasons (David, Abraham, Esther, etc.), but I think there are some examples, in the Bible, of what Biblical romance is. Ruth and Boaz are the best example, I believe, but there’s…[Read more]

Would you rather never be able to brush your hair again or never be able to cut your hair again?
Dayton: *wrinkles her nose* *mutters* “Some people!” *out loud* “I’ll never cut my hair. TO be professional, one must look respectable!”
Alan: *lights up* “Oh, I’ll never do either again! That would be GRReat, cuz’ my hair’s so tangly!”

Hi! I get business, but likely no where near the business of college. I’m doing okay. Chemistry is quite tough, but I have the best friend I’ve been praying for, for years now. So, that’s really good. (:

Yes, Song of Solomon. 🙂 I think romance isn’t forbidden, but… I can’t really argue that. It takes it pretty far there, doesn’t it? I haven’t spent much time in that book, but perhaps I should. It might really help with this problem. Thank you!

It is really funny to me how your ‘would you rather’s are often very close to things that happen in my book. I have a character that is forced to marry someone they don’t love, and I have a character that chooses to turn their best friend in for a crime that the friend committed. 🙂

New Question: Would you rather never be able to brush your hair again or never be able to cut your hair again?

Kimmi replied to the topic Character Building Game in the forum Characters 5 years, 5 months ago
This is the character building game. You first say the name of the character you’re answering for, then you answer the three questions the person before you asked at the end of their post. After you’ve answered you leave three different questions. (If you’ve read a really good question, and want to ask it again, that’s fine.)

Hi! How have you been?-
So busy! College is hard. But I am learning a lot. Not getting very much writing done at all though.
I am so sorry I never responded to any of your old comments! The semester started and I started drowning in homework. 🙁

College is trying to kill me. I’m trying to have a life, do NaNoWriMo, and get As in all my classes.
