J. Dekreel
@dekreelYes, I am, indeed, bringing yet another Kingdom Pen topic over here. . . :-J
Here’s how it works: I’m going to ask a question, and you choose one of your OC’s and brainstorm what he or she would rather do, then think up a question of your own! You may ask and answer as many questions as you’d like.
FIRST question: Would your character rather live in the Sahara Desert for a year, or Antarctica for a year?
Have fun!!

@the-fledgling-artist@dekreel Yay for KP throwbacks! My character Jake would choose the Antarctic since he is from a folder climate anyways.😁
Would your character rather climb the tallest tree, or jump out of an airplane ✈? (With a parachute of course.)

@thewirelessbladePaul would live in the Sahara.
Paul would jump out of a plane (after he’s paid a good hunk a money)
New question: Would your character rather be able jump two inches higher, or walk through walls only two inches thick.

@selah-chelyahGreat idea, Dekreel! 🙂
My character Jeremy would choose the Sahara just because he learns an Arabic language and would love to use his skills there. (And ends up really near the Sahara in my WIP anyway! 🙂 ) Alysha would like to be there just because he was. 😛

@theclumsy_lamplighterJoanelle: *crosses arms and rolls eyes* what good does jumping two two inches higher do? walking through walls two inches thick is the obvious choice. *taps chin* and my question for other characters is, *clears throat* would you rather live in a world with no day or no night?

@r-m-archerNissa: A world with no day. Night is when I spend most of my life anyway, and it’s when the stars come out.
Detren: I’d prefer a world with no night. I don’t think I could handle eternal darkness, even with the stars. *looks up as he thinks of a question* Would you rather… have to read for an hour every day or never be allowed to read?
Nissa: *rolls eyes* You and your books…

@the-fledgling-artist@r-m-archer (I’m going to copy the way you made your characters answer in first person. Yay for character interviews. 😀 )
Jake: “Well.. I already have to read tons of books as it is, so only reading for an hour a day would be great!”
Avery: “I don’t have time to read anymore. So I suppose I’d chose to skip them completely rather then waste an hour everyday.”
Jake: *nods solemnly*
Okay, would your character rather… Lock themselves up all alone for 6 years, or lock the person they love most up.. for 3 years? *smirk*

@i-davidBelial – Only sun because he likes to see things and tell time and things like that. Life would just be harder without the simple benefits it provides.
Karra – Only sun because she misses it. You never know a good thing until it’s gone–or, more appropriately, until you’re gone.
Belial – Lock himself up for 6 years. (At least, he’d choose this at first. He’d probably change it later.)
Karra – Lock other person up for 3 years. They can’t run away or get into danger, because people are stupid. They’re more protected and protectable this way.
Now… Would your character choose to love the the thing they love most–power, object, person, planet, whatever–or the person they love most?
(Yes, person can be the same thing in both options. Evil, no? The choice still stands for them to make.)

@sarah-inkdragonKirin – The thing he loves most, which would be power. (You can’t get attached to people, he says. But with enough power, you can have anything you want.)
Jax – The person he loves most. Which… is pretty much anyone who doesn’t outright hate him, and even some that do. (Poor child needs some hugs, y’all.)
Vyrn – If it helps her get to her goals, she’ll do anything. Love a thing, a person – anything, you name it. But in this circumstance, it would probably be the thing she loves most – which is authority and power. (Yeah…. she needs to loosen up a little on that dream of becoming the next queen.)
And now villain’s edition, because I love my villains:
Shadow/Haydn – The person he loves most, his younger twin sister(Vyrn). He’d go through fire and water and heaven and earth to find her and keep her safe, even if it means loosing his own plans of revenge and justice.(*cough* Well, in his eyes. He is a villain, so those terms are a bit…. loose.)
Erabrus – The thing he loves most, which is…. his wife? And power? At the same time? It kind of depends on where you are in the story… in the beginning, his driving force is his grief for his deceased wife who died trying to protect him from a fatal blow by the main villain, which in turn makes Erabrus want to destroy that villain and gain all his power and wealth so he can finally “avenge” his wife’s death…. yeah. Complex. XD
Aedor – Mr. Main Villain loves his family the most. Even though they’ve been dead… for a long time. (I’m talking millenniums, people.) But since he’s slightly.. well, kind of mentally disturbed(That’s what happens when you’re alive for tens of thousands of years and spend the last 8,000 or so trapped in a dark cave.), he’s translated his grief and love for his family into a very large grudge against… well, anyone who tried to do anything that he doesn’t like. Because in his mind, if he can control the world, he can control who lives and who dies, so he can also stop people from loosing everything like he did… so he sees his conquest of everything as a favor to the universe. (Yeah… he’s a little messed up.)
*cough*
So yeah. Lots of love going on there. XD
Now – Would your character rather die for someone they hate(but is a good person), or have someone that is a bad person/villain die for them in a noble act of sacrifice?

December 28, 2018 at 4:43 pm #68282eden anderson
@eden-andersonWould you rather… have to read for an hour every day or never be allowed to read?
Flynn: *ignores question*
Saidaron(villian): What a ridiculous question! Of course I would rather read for an hour. I’ve spent over half my life reading books and manuscripts and scrolls…I live and breathe literature.
Zitt: Huh? Books? Can’t read a single word…don’t care neither. Even it I could, I ain’t got time for such fancy things. Nope, I wouldn’t give a darn hoot if books were outlawed forever.
Lock themselves up all alone for 6 years, or lock the person they love most up.. for 3 years?
Flynn: *clenches jaw in annoyance* *ignores question*
Saidaron: Love? Love? Not an emotion I am particularly acquainted with. But regardless, I would lock up the person I “love”, if you persist in using that word, rather then spend unnessarsary time myself in some hole. Really, what would the world do without me for 6 years…I fear it would cease to exist if I was not here to guide it.
Zitt: I’d rather be locked up for six years, so long as I’d git my vittles. It’d keep certain people from breathing down my back.
Would your character rather die for someone they hate(but is a good person), or have someone that is a bad person/villain die for them in a noble act of sacrifice?
Flynn: I do not understand why you persist on plaguing me with these questions, but I will not continue to abide this. I am leaving and do not follow, if you value your life. I do not think you desire to feel the sting of my sword. Trust me, it is not a pleasant sensation. *stalks off*
Saidaron: Another question? This is equally as foolish. Of course I would rather let some idiot die for me…what a question! Why would I throw away my life for someone I hate? How absurd!
Zitt: Hmmm, I ain’t completely decided on this. I don’t like the thought of dying for someone else, but if they were in the right, I suppose I might. I hope that I would have the courage to do it, if’in I needed to.
@dekreel (thanks for starting this!) @r-m-archer @the-fledgling-artist @sarah-inkdragon Great questions, guys! 😁Would your character rather: Be a mighty ruler who does A LOT of good but in the end turns evil or a ruler who does A LOT of evil in his life but in the end becomes good.

@maddiejayThis is so fun!
To answer @eden-anderson ‘s question.
Would your character rather: Be a mighty ruler who does A LOT of good but in the end turns evil or a ruler who does A LOT of evil in his life but in the end becomes good.
Im using the main character of my current fantasy story, Brass Talan.
This one is so hard for him, because he doesn’t want to do any good. None. He doesn’t want to become good. He doesn’t want to start good. He’s currently having a fit about the sheer idea of this question.
But, since I wrote him and know how he ends up, despite his best (ahem, worst) efforts, I’d say he has to go with do a lot of evil in his life but end up good.
So.
would your character rather:
Go to the villain for help with the sure promise of defeating a greater evil, but with questionable methods. Or, attempt to defeat the greater evil all on their own, but with no guarantee of winning?

@kari-karastOOH. I LIKE THIS.
Lock themselves up all alone for 6 years, or lock the person they love most up for 3 years?
Kari: Are you even being serious right now!? ME. DUH.
Kalysa: What? Um… the person I love most? I don’t even know who that is anyway…
Kari: *deathglares at Kalysa*
(Kalsya is one of me villains btw!)
Would your character rather die for someone they hate(but is a good person), or have someone that is a bad person/villain die for them in a noble act of sacrifice?
Kari: …do I have to answer?
Kalsya: Well, I’m not gonna die for anyone that’s for sure.
Kari: *glares at Kalsya*
Go to the villain for help with the sure promise of defeating a greater evil, but with questionable methods. Or, attempt to defeat the greater evil all on their own, but with no guarantee of winning?
Kari: THE SECOND CHOICE THE SECOND CHOICE.
Kalsya: Well… technically I am the villain so… why am I even answering?
Kari: *facepalms*
___
Hmm. Lemme see. Would your character rather save the one person he/she loves most from death or save an entire city from death? *grins evilly*
Kari: Why…? You see what I have to put up with people!?!?!?
January 6, 2019 at 1:01 pm #69782R.M. Archer
@r-m-archerWould your character rather save the one person he/she loves most from death or save an entire city from death?
Catessa: The city. *glances toward the docks, pain evident in her eyes* Maybe I could start to atone for all the death I’ve caused. *shrugs* I don’t deserve to have someone to love anyway.
***
Detren: The well-being of the hundreds or thousands in a city is worth far more than my own happiness. *winces*
Nissa: You would leave me to… *scowls and looks over at Rolan* Well I’d save Rolan. The people in this city aren’t worth saving anyway.
Rolan: *grins* You know I’d do the same, sweetheart.
June: *rolls her eyes* You’re all pathetic. I’d leave you in the city in a heartbeat to save my brother.
Wren: *doesn’t say anything out loud because he’s afraid of June, but would save the city instead of her*

Would your character rather have to save the world from a villain with little physical strength but flawless plans and schemes, or an all-powerful wizard who has no clue what he’s doing?

@kari-karast*coughs* Yes. I’m already posting again on this topic. I just like it too much.
Would your character rather have to save the world from a villain with little physical strength but flawless plans and schemes, or an all-powerful wizard who has no clue what he’s doing?
Kari: How is this a contest? The wizard.
Kalsya: Well… if I absolutely had to pick. The wizard.
Drakone: Well, I’d actually help whoever it was. But if I was choosing, it wouldn’t really matter. Either works.
Kieron: Um… probably the wizard?
Markus: Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I’d need more intel before I could decide.

Would your character rather fight one person who’d never lost a fight ever, or an entire army?

@thetessinatorWould your character rather fight one person who’d never lost a fight ever, or an entire army?
Gwen: The heck, send the whole army. I’m gonna die anyways.
Edward: Uh…single person, I might be able to talk him out of fighting me.
