@joelle-stone So I took your character quiz! 🙂 According to it, I’m most like Rebere (11 points), followed by Alaia (10 points) and Lytt and Valent (both 9 points). EDIT: Actually I got 8 for Valent. I can’t count, apparently 😛

          Analysis:

I think Rebere isn’t the best fit. I am, however, protective and determined – and I hope I’m reliable 😛

Alaia is accurate except for the naïve and gullible part.

Lytt is very accurate except for the easily hurt and Miss Perfect part.

Valent is also accurate – the quiet, gentle, and protective parts.

          🙂

              @anne_the_noob14,

Awesome, thx for the feedback!! I may go over my questions again and try and make it more accurate. 😉

(And ha, you do seem like a good Lytt. It also seems like most of the writers who’ve taken the quiz got Valent, for whatever reason…)

And go ahead! If you have the time, let me take it. *begging puppy eyes*

                  Character Biographies

Dharin: Captain of the Riders, a trio of bounty hunters. Tall, handsome, and determined. He enjoys practical jokes, and a bit much ale, but he knows when to be serious. His main goal in life is to find his sister who was sold into slavery years ago. She is his weakness – he will do anything to get her back.

Marek: Second of the Riders, he is a curt, rough man who enjoys gambling and ale. He starts fights for the fun of it, and enjoys watching people suffer hardship. He is hardly ever home with his wife and children. However, part of him is conflicted. What’s left of his conscience plagues him and scolds him for the way he lives his life.

Kylian: The other Rider, a quiet and collected man. He speaks only when necessary, says no more than needed, and prefers to be by himself beside a river with a book and coffee. Reveals very little about his past and personal life. The only things people can get out of him are a muttered word about his grandmother, and misty eyes whenever tea is mentioned.

Werrley: A small owl, Gwen’s friend and companion. He’s cheerful and bright, and a bit too fond of scones. Courageous and brave to a fault, always ready to help, he may jump into something without thinking it through all the way.

Greyl: A rather mysterious man. He is old and wise, loves nature, and seems to have a special bond with oak trees. He hates to do something that he feels is stupid and will be too hard on himself sometimes when he thinks he could have done better. He is also short, and doesn’t like the fact to be mentioned.

Gwendolyn (Gwen): A midwife who was pulled into adventure quite unexpectedly. She takes it on herself to help people as much as she can, as often as she can, even if it inconveniences her in some way. She takes it very hard if someone suffers because of something she did or didn’t do, even if she had no real control of the situation. She is a wonderful cook, the “mom friend,” and could really use a hug.

Stilton: The town bard, and volunteer at the Guard Corporation (basically a policeman). He lost his wife and their unborn son a few years ago, shortly before their son was due. He suspects murder, but has no real proof, and he spends his free time poking around trying to find clues. He is cheerful, friendly, and practical.

Vulferym: Cold, sharp, and morally black. He lost his mother when he was young, and has since devoted his life to alchemy, trying to create immortality or a way to revive the dead. He has no qualms about torturing people to get what he wants, and will kill for more riches if he must. He’s the commander of all the groups of bounty hunters in the kingdom (the Riders being under his command), and trades slaves, undercover, as a side hustle.

Dana: A healer of unknown motivations. She is usually willing to help people, but will turn a patient down for seemingly random and unremarkable reasons. She’s friendly enough, but is odd and a bit creepy until you get to know her – and even then, she keeps much to herself. She is wise, and her patience seems never-ending.

Wiggins: A simple farmer, a good ol’ boy. Plain and simple, not much to him. In his words, “Ah’s jist ah fermer, sonny. No need teh gimme anything fancy-like. Ah’s happy jist plantin’ cern an’ milkin’ my cow.” He’s helpful, friendly, and would give you the shirt off his back or all the money in the old tin can under his bed. “Et ain’t a lot, but Ah reckon you need et mor’n Ah do.”

Brodie: The leader of a band of bandits, a highwayman and robber. He follows a moral code of sorts, though. He will never steal from anyone poorer than himself (and he’s pretty poor, considering his profession). He will help you if you helped him first, but doesn’t go around offering assistance to random people. If you get on his good side and he trusts you to not turn him in to the authorities, he might pull some strings here and there with contacts of his and get you a place to stay a night, or free food somewhere.

“Enough! Be quiet! I can’t hear myself think! I can’t hear my teeth chatter!"

I took it myself just now and got…

                    14 points for Stilton

                    12 points for Dharin

                    11 for Gwen

                    10 for Greyl

9 each for Werrley and Wiggins

                    7 for Dana

6 each for Kylian and Brodie

And 5 each for Vulferym and Marek

So. I’m trying to think about how accurate that was. I think pretty accurate. Stilton, Dharin, Gwen, and Greyl are all reasonable matches for me, I think.

                      Ooh, I can’t decide! Either:

                      b. The cripple and the baby

                      or

                      c. The baby and the elderly woman

                      —————————————————————————————

                      Dana: 7

                      Gwen, Wiggins, and Greyl: 5

                      Werrley and Dharin: 4

                      ———————————-

That was fun, thanks a lot!! I’m not a lot like Kylian (BLEH HE DRINKS COFFEE?!?!), but Stilton is like spot on. XD Dana’s pretty close and I’m not at all surprised that I’m not like Dharin at all. XDD Being like Vulferym was ever-so-slightly unnerving, given what I know about him. *studies hands* 😉

                      Once again, thanks for sharing!!

                        (BLEH HE DRINKS COFFEE?!?!)

*blinks* did…you just say coffee bleh? DID YOU JUST SAY COFFEE WAS BLEH?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU ARE YOU HUMAN DO YOU REALIZE HOW RACIST THAT IS?!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW COULD YOU??? YOU HAVE SLANDERED HALF THE POPULATION OF THE WORLD!!!!!! HOW CAN YOU LIVE WITH YOURSELF HOW CAN YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT? BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY HOW CAN YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING WITHOUT COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                        “bleh he drinks coffee” HUMPH!

                        btw cool quiz! I’m…

                        8 for Kylian and Marek

7 for Stilton, Wiggins, Greyl and Brodie

                        6 for Werrley and Dana

                        5 for Dharin, Gwen

                        And 4 for Vulferym

I picked saving the cripple and the baby on the off-chance I could shove the elderly person out of the way in time, at least that person has the highest chance of handling it on her own. And I also spent a long time trying to figure out whether fear or pride was my greatest flaw since they can be so interchangeable sometimes…

                        That was fun!!

To be a light to the world you must shine in the darkness.

I’ve been thinking, for a week or two, about changing out Nithel. Or at least changing his age.

Where he is now is about a year after he came to the world, and is still naive to everything, and learning.
Would it be alright if I took him out, then had him reappear older? (Having grown up, married, and had three/almost four kids older? Not to mention some other things that happened.)

He’ll… have changed quite a bit, and not allllllll for the better, I’m sorry to say. But he’ll still be the same, mostly… so far as his beliefs go. And how he cares about people. (And- HE HAS KIDS AND A WIFE HE LOVES.)

If it won’t affect things too much, I’d like to try to take him out and reappear him older!
                                Thoughts? Yeas? Nays?
I can leave things like they are, and it’ll be fine. (:

I’ve been thinking, for a week or two, about changing out Nithel.

                                  Eck? Nithel? Leaving?!

Or at least changing his age

…oh ok *sigh of relief* Nithel’s just getting older. That should be really interesting! I wonder how it’ll affect all the characters there…I like it!
