@taylorclogston Okay, yeah… Apparently the growing up thing is still too new for me to realize when it’s happening. π But yeah, I absolutely loved especially the first Penderwicks book (which I read several years ago, I think)… Which is probably also the best of them all (although, again, I haven’t read them all). But for ages 8-12 I do think they are superb pieces of literature.
It’s really strange to me that people actually outgrow books. I had no idea that could happen. π
@arindown Alright. Sounds like I’m not going crazy then.Oh yeah, totally agree with what you said at the end. Backstory always seems to make characters suddenly come alive. Yeah, thanks, that’s a really good reminder. π
Thanks again you guys, I really appreciate the imparted knowledge. π

Oh… @daeus-lamb I should probably tag you…
Sorry if this seems like an unnecessary question… It’s just been bothering me a lot recently.

Okay… so I left for a while. BUT! I am returned with another clue for @anne_the_noob14 or @anyone_else. Both quotes are the same book.
Β Β Stories can save your life.
I knew she did it to protect me. I knew that. But if she had been strong, she would have found another way. If she had been clever and brave, like Shahrazad. If she hadn’t given up.
I thought maybe adding in a key name would help… enjoy! π

@bama-rose I know!!!! BEST BOOK EVER! I just fell in love with that one!!!
Okay, one more (can you guys tell I just love this?);
‘What is a git anyway?’Β

One more;
“Are you still wondering how such a sour old man can write such music?” Master Kenton asked wryly.
“No, sir. I’m wondering how anyone can”
This one’s a real stretch; maybe I’ll add another that’s more key to the actual story later.

@kayla-skywriter Yep!!! One of the best books ever!!!!! π
Ooooh! Here’s another;

So… I don’t think I know like any of the quotes I’ve seen so far, but I’m willing to jump in! π
Here’s a quote from one of my absolute favourite books!
No one can teach riding so well as a horse.
This one is really far-fetched… I think I read it when I was like 11 but who knows? If someone gets it I’ll be really happy!
Whenever I see her, we laugh enough to last for the month. She’s my best friend, and someday when we’re old enough I’m going to talk her into staying here forever.
I was trying to think of a quote from another favourite book but haven’t found a suitable one just yet…
Happy guessing!

Yay! This time I might actually have something contribute!!! Let’s go Saxons!

@w-o-holmes, Nice to meet you! I’m great thanks! π I’m wondering if you assume that I live in Europe because of how I spell ‘favourite’? Sorry to disappoint you but I’m actually Canadian/American (I live in Alberta though). π
I don’t actually write a ton of poetry but I really enjoy doing so when I have the chance. I’ll try to work on something today maybe.
I would look it up but I’d rather ask; who is Uondon of Andim?
The poetry I write is mostly the result of strong feelings so I’m not really sure if I can actually evoke feeling in someone else.Β Does that answer your question about the kind of poetry I write or do you mean something different?
Oh wow, I didn’t even notice the guild thing!! I’m really sorry! I should have already met you! I was on the guild more often but I really slacked off recently. π I have one more question; were you part of New Wessex for the sea of chaos prompt? Cause that was the last time I was around….
Anyway, again, nice meeting you! π π π

Hi, @w-o-holmes! I don’t believe we’ve met? I love this idea!!!! That’s honestly my favourite kind of poetry! Why else should poetry be read unless to evoke feelings? Well, anyway, I’ll try to work on something. I’m always busy but we’ll see what I come up with… π *takes a deep breath and realizes she must seem really weird* Well… um… Nice meeting you!!! π

Texas? Cool! I actually live in Canada in the city but lots of people have trees in their yards. I love the mountains though, we’re about 2 hours away from them. As a matter of fact on Tuesday my brother and I and a friend went up there and hung out! It was fun.
