Okay, I decided to start a more fun topic than my other ones. I am a book lover, the only one I know here in my town, and those that do read don’t read the kind of books I do. So I decided to find a fun way to see if any other people on here like the same books.
So here’s how it works. Someone says something iconic from a book or series. For example:
One ring to rule them all
One ring to find them
One ring to bring them all
And in the darkness bind them.
Could be used for Lord of the Rings. Then anyone who has read that book and loved it can reply with the name. Anyone want to play?-

This sounds fun! Here we go, one quote per book:
I have hated words and I have loved them, and I hope that I have made them right.
So really, children, mathematically, all of light is invisible.
Every locked door has a key. Every problem has a solution.
For you, a thousand times over.
Can’t wait to see what happens!

Here’s mine:

So when the moon tells you something, believe it (technically from a movie, but the movie has a book series)
Even the word hopeless is not entirely devoid of hope.
August 6, 2019 at 11:48 pm #94597All those quotes sound vaguely familiar. No. 3 is Warcross though, isn’t it?
Here’s a quote from one of my favourite novels…
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
Mahalo keia huiʻana
August 7, 2019 at 12:59 am #94601@seekjustice Yes, that’s Warcross 🙂
And your quote is from The Tale of Two Cities — I didn’t understand most of it back when I read it, but it still was touching (particularly the ending!!). I should find some time to reread it.

August 7, 2019 at 11:46 pm #94648This is such a fun idea! I don’t recognize any of the quotes already posted, but I’ll add one to the mix…
Hello, dear Skreeans! Fangs are ugly!

I have found the Book Thief, Tale of Two Cities, Wingfeather Saga, and the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
And yes, mine was Ranger’s Apprentice.
Here is one from a series I am still reading, one from each book I’ve read.

and
“Sing the song of the ancient stones. . . “
and
“Messing with me is like wearing cheese underwear down rat alley.”
and
