@kate This is gorgeous! The worldbuilding is vivid, mystical, and with a very cool blend of fantasy and technology. The simplicity of the fish as light also stood out to me. Good job!

@piperbee whoops, didn’t see yours! Love those ideas, especially the fish relating to the MC’s struggle. I’m not sure if it should be their first attempt or not. I’m sure they’ve been suicidal for a while, but the question is if they’ve ever attempted before. If they’ve attempted, people might be worried about them and be suspicious of them going…[Read more]

I think this sounds awesome, guys! Ahhh I would love to write this story but am not sure I’ll have time…. When is it due? Also, this scuba diver dove in to find death–but they took their gear, which would prolong their life. So guys, I feel like we need an emotional dilemma. Who was it that suggested depression/suicidal thoughts? I think that could actually match really well. Maybe the character dived into the kelp forest hoping to find death there.
