@piperbee whoops, didn’t see yours! Love those ideas, especially the fish relating to the MC’s struggle. I’m not sure if it should be their first attempt or not. I’m sure they’ve been suicidal for a while, but the question is if they’ve ever attempted before. If they’ve attempted, people might be worried about them and be suspicious of them going off by themselves. Is there anyone they would miss? And I agree that the fantasy/sci-fi setting might detract, now that I think about it…. @kate, it’s up to you whether to do spec fic or realistic fic.
