A girl! His hand relaxes, letting her go, but stops before turning around to walk away. My coffee?
Taking it with one hand, he puts the other against his forehead in salute, before dropping it to speak:
“Miss… next time call out to me.” His voice, though not deep, is hard, battle worn, far from soft. And so he turns ar…[Read more]

Now there was a woman (Axilya) behind Evangeline, wanting to ask for coffee too. The best thing to do was to get out of the way and then try again. Maybe with a pen and paper next time. Evangeline shook her head and sighed. “I’m sorry,” she told the man she had been speaking to, who seemed a bit impatient.
Evangeline looked around for somewhere…[Read more]

So, results are in for the guild war. We didn’t win. :'( (But on the other hand, Avensbeck didn’t win either so…) ANYWAY, congratulations to Meraki guild and their hard work. ALSO, we’re reworking how we’re doing our judging, so we now have JUDGE’S FEEDBACK. You can see their comments for us and the other guilds in the doc here…[Read more]

I finished the first draft of the backup story I’ve been working on. The second half especially needs help, so please please, comment! I want to put the whole thing into a unique and creative voice. I want to make the story itself more subtle. And I want it to be beautiful. Will you have it and help me?

@Wordsmith is right! Time to circle the wagons and get moving. Y’all have had some really good discussions and you’re working up a few great story ideas. Time to pick one and start writing. I’m not going to post a weekly activity so that we can get this knocked out.

HEY GUYS. I’M BACK.
You may have noticed, Rillumen has been really quiet of late. And in that silence, I have been silenter. Long story short, college didn’t do the usual ramp up into the semester thing and I got tidal-waved with homework week one. Labor day helped me catch up though, and I’m back in the game now.
Yay!

We want unique and creative prose, that carries the story in a beautiful (or quirky way). So the story will matter, but first we want to figure out how we’re gonna write it. So just start messing with ideas.

Lumenian Solders! We have the prompt:
‘Your prompt is: “Write any story you choose with the most original and creative prose you can.”’
Hahaha! This is interesting. Let’s brainstorm…

Just hop down there and start laying down prose. Test your ideas, stret…[Read more]
