@rolena-hatfield Thanks!  Yes, I typically write in past tense.  This is one of the very few things that I’ve written in person, so the strangeness might be it.

@scribbles hmm, okay.  I feel it too; the present tense is weird.  I don’t know why…

I tend to get sidetracked when listening to music with words while writing, so I listen to a lot of epic music.  Anything by Audiomachine is good, and I also listen to a lot of movie soundtracks. (Lord of the Rings is amazing.)

I primarily write fantasy.  For NaNo a while back, I wrote a dystopian story and I loved doing it, but I realized that it wasn’t my strongest area of writing.  So I write fantasy, both portal and high fantasy and throw in some dystopian elements for fun.

@supermonkey42 ha, maybe.  As for authors I like C. S. Lewis, John Flanagan, Nadine Brandes, and Arthur Conan Doyle.
