I get it now.

I somehow ended up with three WIPs but one is just a writing exercise that I do and another was just an idea I had to get out of my head (Jayden and Alex’s story).  My true WIP is a realistic fiction about an abortion survivor named Jane Doe Foster.

Hmm, probably fantasy or sci-fi. There’s so much you can do with the world-building in either of those settings, especially for magic systems. Steampunk is also great, but it’s a little more limited due to the setting.
