@libbyIt’s actually pretty hard to come up with something, but I like it because it’s fun and different. You should definitely try it!
I have done three or four poems, and I’ll post one or two on here. Tell me if you like them! 🙂

@evelyn Isn’t it cool?? Hav eyou seen the ones with atrwork instead of blackout?
Blackout poetry is a technic that involves blacking out all the words on a page of writing (usually from a book or newspaper) except a few chosen words that string together, making a short, free-verse style poem.
Here are some examples of blackout…[Read more]

When you’re thinking about publishing a poem, start typing it out, and realize that both your main line and title are in passive voice.

@libby These were my favorite lines:
“Her elfin glance will always haunt me; she will never leave me alone; but I can never step inside her magic world. My shadow puts out her light…we can never become friends.”
Perfection, Libby!! Those lines describe my life after I first read L.M. Montgomery and describe me still.
Pat is really good! Her m…[Read more]

@libby What is the story you’re talking about? I read some of your above comments, and I’m intrigued! Is there a way for me to read it? 🙂 🙂
As a fellow Montgomerian, I can definitely relate to looking up to her characters like Valancy, Emily, Pat, and Anne (and sometimes trying to imitate them!).

@wordsmith I agree! I’m sorry I haven’t been more involved; I just started two college classes in writing and history along with my other subjects (I’m a junior in high school) so I am trying to squeeze a bit of creative writing in now and then, but…it’s hard. I will make an effort to participate at least some of the time though!

Well done, Libby! I loved the way you communicated your message without sacrificing the beauty of the words for the rhyme. I can’t wait to hear more of your poetry! 🙂

@libby Oh, I love that one. Her character arcs are SO cool; she just weaves them all together, creating a tangled web. ;P
I might watch them then!
They aren’t as good as the first by a long shot to me. The spirit is still there though, so I did like them. The problem I find is that they don’t have a “real” plot, so they tend to drag and get…[Read more]

@libby Okay! I would say that Pat of Silver Bush is almost on par with Anne for me–I love how realistic the conflict is. I haven’t seen The Road to Avonlea. Is it good?
I looove the Five Little Peppers books. Have you read any of the other books in the series?
