Hi everyone! I’m Erynne (Erin) I joined about a month or so ago, and it didn’t even dawn on me to talk about my romance in this group.
I haven’t actually started yet, but I have very carefully plotted it out (not finished yet though!) The romance part isn’t necessarily the main point of the story but it is a large part, and it’s always nice to…[Read more]

Hi! I’m glad that you like my poem! This is the first piece of poetry that I’ve written and posted (not including the one for a collaborative story I did) on here. And I’m really glad that my poem made you want to read The Wingfeather Saga even more, as it is my absolute fav book series (as you can probably tell from my username and q…[Read more]

Your poem felt powerful. Also, tragic, important, and well-written. I especially found the repetition of the word silent to be strong and impactful.

Silent
Silent, as the country crumbles.
Silent, to the pain all ‘round.
Silent. For one doesn’t know what to do.
Silent, to the fathers’ cry.
Silent, to the burning of right.
Silent, to the death of liberty.
Silent. For one doesn’t want to fight.
Silent, as hearts are hardened.
Silent, as tongues fly.
Silent, as the souls a…[Read more]

I like your poem. 🙂 I’ve heard of the Wingfeather Saga, but haven’t read the books yet. Your poem makes me want to read them even more!

A Wingfeather Saga poem about Throne Wardens. Not that great at poetry, but I’m working on it.
The Throne Warden.
Courageous, loyal, true,
Protector of his siblings’ life and freedom,
Learner of the Word,
Keeper of not just pen, but also sword,
Hearer of the sea dragons song,
Warrior against Gnag’s wrong,
Artham with his wings,
Janner…[Read more]

@jennythefaun Couldn’t tell the LoTR reference from reading it, and it would be fine anyway. I published a poem that was even more directly inspired by The Handmaid’s Tale a couple years back.
I really like the title, and great concept. My advice is to drop the rhymes. As one of my creative writing professors once said, the best poems don’t r…[Read more]

Thanks for the tip! I probably won’t contact them, but thanks for letting me know!
Nelson is really good at writing. However, I don’t like all of her books, and I don’t think any of them gripped me like The False Prince did. A Night Divided was pretty good though. I was reading another about a girl who was smuggling books, or she…[Read more] -

That’s exciting your library is ordering your book! Your other story ideas sound really cool too. I love a good mystery. And I like the title, ‘Charging For Friendship’.
I heard getting an agent is hard; did you have to do a lot of research beforehand to find the reputable companies? Or did you start with a type of book market guide?
I thi…[Read more]

Hi!
I haven’t really been selling too many copies, but I think it’s going pretty well. My library ordered six copies so that’s exciting! I started the sequel, but (one death later) I didn’t know exactly where I was heading with it and got side-tracked with other projects. I’m in the middle of waiting to hear back from queries…[Read more]

Hey there! I’m sooo sorry I missed your question! Normally, I get an update from my email when someone replies; so either I forgot to turn on that feature, or the reply became lost somewhere where I can’t find it. Either way, I haven’t visited S.E until more recently. And in my S.E updates, it mentioned your reply *slams palm ont…[Read more]
