It seems super cool!!
And also extremely overwhelming…I have absolutely no idea what I am doing and there is so much stuff and it’s just crazy…
*exhales*
But yeah, it seems cool. 😛

@daeus-lamb I started reading it on Saturday. ๐ I’m not as far as I would like to be yet but I’ve made it to the Point of View homework, so far it’s been pretty awesome. Easy to follow and only some very minor issues. ๐ Just wanted you to know that I’ve gotten started.

So far World Anvil is awesome. ๐ I’ve already gotten started world building on it.

@daeus-lamb yeah, I loved that aspect (ofย The Book Thief) too. Such a powerful book. I hope to be able to write something that powerful and touching.
@eden-anderson thanks! Yeah, I suppose eight years is a lot longer than most people spend on one project. XD I love those characters, but it’s been refreshing to try other stories, and it’s helped…[Read more]

Cool! I’ll check it out. Does it matter if I write fiction in this world? Or is it pretty much just fantasy?

@daeus-lamb Nice to hear from someone on the other end of the process! Thatโs what Iโm reminding myself!
@maddiejay Iโll definitely check out that book! Thanks for the recommendation!
@kb-writer Iโm beginning to identify the theme in my story, too! It feels like squinting at a marble block until you can see the makings of a statue hidden inside,…[Read more]

Hey everybody, I’m requesting prayer for my Grandpa, who is dying. He’s my last grandparent who is still living. We don’t know how longer he will linger…it could be sooner or later. He’s 96, so he’s lived a long and good life…but death is still hard. He has dementia and when we go and visit him he doesn’t know us, and he doesn’t really talk…[Read more]

I’ve invited him to join me in NaNoWriMo for two of those three years I think, and I plan to keep asking, so hopefully persistence will pay off, lol.

R.M. Archer replied to the topic The past is the key to the present in the forum Annual Theme Discussion 7 years, 9 months ago
Well, in theory. He’s written in the past, and he started a fantasy trilogy when I was one or two that I’ve been trying to convince him to pick up again for the past three years or something, but he hasn’t prioritized it in a long time. ๐ I wish he’d pick it back up again so we could work on our stories together and challenge each…[Read more]

Hello!! As Eden said, I haven’t met you yet. I’m Bama Rose.
I don’t know tons about crafting villains, but I do know what kind of villain just gets on my nerves because he’s so cliche.
My favourite “bad guy” is Loki from The Avengers. What I liked about him was, well, number one, he wasn’t very cliche (in my opinion). Number…[Read more]

Hey, guys! I’m here! Sorry I’m so late.
Okay, so I kind of dismissed this thread, because I’m not really a world builder (sorry, @daeus-lamb). But just today I realized how this topic applies to my own writing (and my aversion to world building).
I was watching someย Like Stories Of Old videos from YouTube (check him out here, like, seriously @kat…[Read more]

To be completely honest, Iโm going to try not to take production rate so crazy seriously. In past years worrying about getting a lot done quickly has really stressed me. Thus, 2019 is me turning over a new l…[Read more]

Hey guys!
This past November, I finally finished a rough first draft of my short story/novella (thanks to a few word wars I participated in). I’ve started this story so many times, but this is the first time I’ve made it through to the end. *Happy dance* ๐
I let it sit through the month of December, and now I think I’m about ready to come back…[Read more]

@daeus-lamb thanks, this helps a lot. 😁
I also watched infinity war for the first time last week and was really inspired by Thanos, who seemed to have something other than just power that he was trying to achieve. He was basically a big guy with a huge OCD problem.🤣
He kinda sparked my question, thanks Daeus for your help!
