    @chalice hey, a goal is a goal. 😉

    Speaking of goals, I totally missed the goals part. *headdesk* Kinda the whole point, yeah? 😛

    Goals:

    To be completely honest, I’m going to try not to take production rate so crazy seriously. In past years worrying about getting a lot done quickly has really stressed me. Thus, 2019 is me turning over a new leaf and learning to enjoy the process again instead of fussing over the lack of speed.

    Due to this, I’m only focusing on one book this year. My Snow White retelling. Getting the third draft finished (more than halfway through!), edited, and released. That should happen before April if nothing untoward comes up. Wish me luck!

    Along with that comes another goal that almost fuels itself— learning more about marketing and putting what I learn into practice. This includes growing my subscriber list, which is fun and terrifying at the same time. Wish me more luck. 😛

    I said I’d be focusing on one story, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop writing once that one’s out of the way. Next in line for the keyboard is my superhero/utopian/futuristic/police drama standalone novel, Pillars of the Sky. Completing the first draft of that would be nice.

    I recently set myself the goal of mastering one new skill every year. This year it’s digital art in the form of 3D modelling. I was an artist before I was a writer, and I was recently convicted about neglecting that gift. Why 3D modelling? Because I feel like it’s an artistic skill that meshes very well with my writing. I can use it for all kinds of things to optimize and complement my writing journey. Book covers not the least. 😉 Besides, on the off-chance I get rich and famous anytime in the next three years, who wouldn’t like a blanket with a portrait of their favorite character designed by the author herself? XD

    Focus on an attitude of action, not reaction. Reaction happens when you let the criticisms, expectations, words, and opinions of other people dictate how you feel about yourself and what you should be accomplishing. Listening to others is important, but you should be grounded first of all in your walk with God and what He values, and what He has called you to. Everything else should be secondary. I need to work on that quite a bit.
