Your cat is so adorable! My former cat was named Patches.
Have you ever read The False Prince?
I’d have to say I’d be a ranger too (my dad taught me archery a few years ago; though I’m sorely out of practice. Halt would disaprove XD)

1. Scruffy. He wouldn’t take the time to care for it for months. He’d regret it later though and go through a spree of completely correcting everything.
2. Winter. Because it’s cold. It’s right after the major storms of September are over as well.
3. His mother. Or, becoming like her.

For Kiet boi:
1) Oh yes.
2) Because he met a girl who understands him and lets him break down so he can be built back up, and who he wants to help, too. He’s kinda crazy about her. 😉
3) Absolutely!
4) He’s got such a soft heart for lil ones. He’d love nothing more than to sit on the floor, playing with…[Read more]

Hi Ella!
So great to meet you!
Yes, world-building is soo much fun!!!
I really want to watch Pride and Prejudice but haven’t yet. I also LOVE the new Cinderella movie!!!!!!
I think I am going to be homeschooled all the way (Until college anyway!)
I think my favorite subject would be… art or writing. How about you?

It’s so nice to meet you, Ella! Thank you for the recomendations (I think I’ve heard of the Sandcastle Empire. It looked very interesting. And I’ve read the Giver and it was really good!)
And thanks for the advice on inserting a quote (Now I just have to find a favorite one. I’ve come across too many good ones XD)

For Teagen:
1. (I’m picturing a small black and white splotched fluff ball.) Teagen would feel closely knitted immediately if such an animal was placed in his arms. He likes generic names, but would never be able to decide on one. (He would alternate its name for like a month). He might ask a random person…[Read more]

@arindown 3. Very funny… (: (I literally chuckled/snickered/laughed at the thought. Then I sobered and had to think a bit.)

For Teagen:
1) None, except for on the spot poetry. (Almost always forgets it in five minutes if not seconds)
2) He has no heroes. Only people he doesn’t want to become. He’s terribly lost to tell the truth.
3) Flip flops, or barefoot. But he wears other shoes when he has to.
1) He secretly liked Literature and…[Read more]

Hi Ella! Thanks for the warm welcome:)
I think I’ve read everything Ted Dekker has written. Three is among his suspense collection, but I would highly recommend the Heaven trilogy and the Outlaw Chronicles. I don’t often reread books, but these I do. The Heaven trilogy made a significant impact on me when I was getting to know Chr…[Read more]

For Teagen:
1) A ringing phone would be shocking if not from his boss. He doesn’t give his phone number to others than his current employer (then when he’s fired he blocks the contact). A few girls might call, he would act all pleased and sweet, but really be disgusted inside.
2) Customer service? He w…[Read more]

For Kiet:
1) The desire to be different from his tribe, i.e. to heal rather than hurt.
2) Relax on the floor with a soft cat curled up on his chest. 😉 Or spend time with Grace (my MC).
3) Kokai. That guy is a large part of the reason Kiet has PTSD.
New Questions:
1) Would a ringing phone be a source of…[Read more]

For Enan…
1. With the door open…at least a crack. He doesn’t like being closed in, and there might be an emergency in the middle of the night, and the door might slow him down.😉
2. Unfortunately, yes…at the beginning of his story. He’s cool, and he knows it.

For Enan…
1. Comfortable, if he had to choose. But the whole society he lives in appreciates sharp, so he mixes both most of the time.
2. Disobeying his superior officer, and sneaking off in the night (his friend got beat-up for telling him he couldn’t).
3. Definitely.

This is a fun thread! My character development is a lot like yours. 😂
I do find it helpful to describe a character’s living space. (Bedroom, house, apartment, etc.) That way, I can envision their personality more clearly, just by fleshing out the surroundings that they’re most comfortable in.
And backstory is an important thing…[Read more]

Teagen:
1. gotta, whatcha, ya’ll, do’in… (a lot)…
2. Theme song? None as of yet (I can’t think of any that really describe him; I’m sure there are though). He likes opera, but I don’t, so I have no clue. (:
3. Worst, being respectful. Best, making kids be at ease or laugh.

1. Teagen would eat basically anything (including dirt) for 20 days straight. He’s one for doing dumb stuff, especially when dared.
2. No, he would not want to know the exact time and date of his death. Most certainly not. It might make him cautious.
3. 3pm. He likes to sleep till at least six/seven, and is no night owl (after…[Read more]

@writergirl101 Oooh. . . MBTI is fun for characters. Some of mine are hard to place (and 16personalities can be hit or miss when it comes to accuracy XD), but others are definitively one type. My MC Grace in my current WIP is an INTJ, and I love shipping her with my INFP boi Kiet.
I do a lot of mental in-their-shoes placement. . . gosh, that…[Read more]

@writergirl101 Lol, no, but I will, just so they don’t go wasted! 😛 Plus I love Kiet, so.
1) Random vegetation in the underbrush. He kinda lived on it for weeks, so he knows how to deal with it.

This is for Kiet:
1) Panic. XD But once he’s calmed down, he’ll be able to retrace his steps easily enough. He has a hunting and tracking background.
2) Mm, more stoic, but in the sense that he tries to stifle his responses than that he doesn’t seem to care.
3) A cat, hands down. He…[Read more]
