@chalice Eee, I can’t wait!!

@theswordinthebook I can’t draw, so I can’t trade you drawings, but if you’re just looking for something to draw my characters are on page 33. 😉 Also Radcliffe is super intriguing…

@theswordinthebook Course not! It’s great to have more artists around! 😉

@anne_the_noob14 Well, I did a drawing of Dharin! Sorry it barely shows any of his face. . . I should do another that’s not so shadowy, but I hope this will do for now! 😀

@theswordinthebook
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Thanks!! 😀 I’ve really been having fun with art lately.</p>

@theswordinthebook

Ok, good! 🙂 Here’s my most recent attempt… It was commissioned by one of my friends. I struggle with giving skin enough contrast. Also, I’m such a perfectionist that I can spend hours and hours on a piece… not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. XD

@theswordinthebook

Do you want this to be a personal thread for you or is it ok if others share their digital artwork here? Just wanted to ask before I post!

@theswordinthebook

Great job! I love the lighting and shadows. (Something I always have to mess around with before figuring out where they should go).

ibisPaint X is indeed a VERY nice app. I’ve been using it for a year now, I think, and have finally gotten the hang of it. 🙂

I love the drawing and would love to see any more if you do them.

@theswordinthebook

I actually have been using ibisPaintX too. XD It works great for a free app! (I’m all about the free stuff, lol) I draw on my Samsung Note phone since it has a pen.

@theswordinthebook

So cool! I really like it. Especially the pop of contrast that the stars give.

I’ve been experimenting with some digital art lately as well. What app/software do you use?

@theswordinthebook

Ok, I finished drawing your character! 🙂

I don’t think I’ve ever drawn a snake before so that was interesting…

@theswordinthebook Looks like Naiya got you covered! The guilds were started a couple years ago when Story Embers first started. But don’t worry! Even if we have some pretty badges, you guys aren’t missing out on any elite conversations or secret counsels. 😉

@theswordinthebook Oh, those are the guild badges. The guilds used to be writing groups on here, but they’ve been kind of phased out in place of the groups (you know, the fantasy writers, romance writers, etc.). But the people in the guilds still have their badges on their profiles. 🙂

@theswordinthebook

Aw, I love it!!! Thanks! It’s so fun to see Emory in someone else’s style. 😀 I actually did work a little on your character this afternoon… I should be done sometime in the next couple days.

@theswordinthebook

Sounds good! 👌 I’ll get started on Radcliffe as soon as I can.

@theswordinthebook

Yay, I’m so excited!!

This is Emory, one of the heirs to the throne of Faran (the other being her twin sister).  She’s kind-hearted, wants to be liked by others, and dislikes conflict. So much so that sometimes she would rather take the easy way out by pleasing other people, even when it goes against something she believes.…[Read more]

Ooh, I’m in! 😀 Sounds like fun. Do I need to share a drawing of my character first to give you an idea?

I’m in the same boat. 😉

@theswordinthebook Yes! 😅 I have too many for my own good, actually. How many stories are you actively working on? I have close to 10 or 11 different stories (like I said, waaay too many, 😅😅) but I’m only actively working on one of them. The others get a little noisy in my head every now and then, but I’m not actively trying to tighten them up…

@theswordinthebook My blog account is @sevenbillionsmiles and my personal (which I also share art on) is @emmahugabee. 🙂 I share @sevenbillionsmiles with my younger sister Eve.

I’m going to give all these accounts a look!

@theswordinthebook
Oooohh really? Me too! Character design is super rad imo.
I checked out your art and it’s petty cool. 😀 Do you have any projects related to the original characters you draw?

@theswordinthebook

I use them all the time. Probably a little too much to be realistic! LOL XD

@theswordinthebook

Awesome character!! I love it! Just my type! 🙂 tragic backstory and everything 😉
