Hmm… I agree with most of your thoughts here. Unfortunately, though, for me Rey is the most terribly constructed main character in the sequel trilogy. I couldn’t relate to her and found her to be interesting only when she and Ren are together.

🙂 I just watched that video the other day! So glad you brought it up! I have not seen Aliens but I’ve heard of it… yet when I compare Rey with a few other female heroines/main characters like Wonder Woman, or even Katniss Everdeen, Rey pales in comparison.
