Okay. So far all the people I have asked about the tags box has said that they have no idea what it is for, so I am lost as far as that still. I am wondering why your answer doesn’t show up on the forum but it shows up instead in activity and what is activity? Thank you for explaining what BTW stands for!

    @joelle-stone

Okay, thanks! I don’t use a lot of abbreviations, I normally just use the real words which is why I had to ask, plus abbreviations are a bit confusing for me.

    To figure what out?

    • @princessmk I don’t use very many besides BTW & LOTR (Lord of the Rings). Sometimes when I’m in a rush I use R and U for are and you, but otherwise… Anyway, I’m a rambler. 😛
I was trying to figure out what the tags box at the bottom of the posting thingamabob was for. 🙂

      • @princessmk,
My answer showed up in activity ’cause that’s where I chose to post it instead of in the forum. 🙂 I’m still trying to decide how much I want to post here, though. :/
I think when you post a tag in the tags box, then that person’s name appears at the top of the forum page, underneath the Favorite|Subscribe button at the top right. 🙂

I really like your name, it’s one of my favorites! That’s neat that we are both 14.

I rode my first horse, I am guessing around five years ago and haven’t since then. We where given free riding lessons from one of our neighbors who owned two horses. That was when we lived in Illinois.

I am hoping to eventually be able to learn to…[Read more]

    I wasn’t tagged.

So the “whats new” is exactly for what? I don’t quite understand that.

I think I know why, your reply isn’t in the thread I think the tags box shows up in the thread not here. Your reply showed up in activity, what ever that is for. if you go to the bottom of a thread there is a reply box and then underneath that is the Tags: box. Thanks so much you are helping me figure things out a lot. I am also…[Read more]

It is really difficult to piece them all together. I only have four writing prompts pieced together and I still have a bunch more to piece together. I just realized exactly how hard it will be.

Thanks. I think I wrote it because I wanted to try writing a poem and he had told me in a letter what his favorite color was.

Cool! I have a couple of sisters at least that write songs. I think that that is a really good goal. I am hoping that I can soon start trying to write longer stories, I have ideas for some but the longer the story…[Read more]

    It’s okay.

No it’s not but I am wondering what that is and what is a forum signature? By tags I meant, when typing out this reply there is a small box below this that says “Tags:” and I am trying to figure out what that is for.

I think I have most of the site figured out. I have a few questions as far as what some of the groups…[Read more]

I think it is one of those words that are the most common.

I actually shared three of my poems in the group poets. They have to do with a storm, spring and a sunrise.

Cool, I usually write poems when I feel like writing, but I don’t have a story idea and I don’t have a story I am working on, or if I feel like writing but don’t know what…[Read more]

    Cool!

We have had a lot of cats before and somethings they tend to do are quite funny, lets see, my Dad had a cat that would purposely go after me and my other sisters just to here us scream or to trap us so that we had to call for help. Mr Rogers (the cat that goes after the dogs) will also attack us, anything that moves…[Read more]

  • Hi,

I was reading through the writers journey path and I was wondering when it says stuff as far as a blog does the blog have to be about writing or can it be about anything?

    Hi,

I have written several poems and I wanted to know how good they are and what I can do to make them better. I mostly write free verse poetry but I have tried using words that rhyme, but they don’t sound as good as the free verse. They probably don’t sound as good because they were like the first few I ever wrote and I didn’t know the rules of…[Read more]

That’s another one I use a lot, but more so in my stories then poems. I don’t think I have ever used that word in a poem. Actually I did use it in one of my poems.

  • @zee

Thank you for the name suggestions!

  • @lonathecat

The story’s and poems I write I have a tendency to use words like “the,” “and,” “a,” and “said” plus sometimes “really,” a lot.  I realized yesterday that this will probably make it so that in my stories and poems I have to find a word to use instead or word it differently.

  • Hi,

I was not sure where to put this so I decided I would put it here.

I am wanting to start trying to write poems and short story’s but make it harder by not being able to use one word. I have already written a poem without the word the (I wrote the poem without realizing that I hadn’t used the word the until after it was written) and I have…[Read more]
