@rose-colored-fancy @obrian-of-the-surface-world Thanks for welcoming me! I really should probably be more active here. 😛 But I’ve really been enjoying reading about your characters!
Well, if anyone wants to… here’s one of my characters that I’ve been working on developing. 🙂 (I had to put in in a Google Doc, because trying to upload it as an…[Read more]

Thanks for clarifying your meaning, Brian. I think I understand your perspective a little better now. 🙂

You are helping me, you know. By our conversation, I am better learning how I am heard and where I have not been clear. Communication is best achieved when both reach an understanding of something the other one wishes to convey, even if they may not agree. Thank you for that.
-
I agree completely. I’m glad we are able to help each other learn. 🙂

@obrian-of-the-surface-world yea I know, I was assuming that. But it sucks lol

I agree. I struggled with the system all throughout the day, so I started writing my post in a Word doc before pasting them into the Chat Form panel. That way, if they evaporated into the ether, I didn’t pull my hair out, trying to remember and re-type what I wrote the first time. Good luck to you. Looking forward to seeing the picture you are…[Read more]

Hi Brian,
Thanks again for your thoughts! However, I think we’ll just have to agree to disagree.
Hope you have a nice evening. 🙂

Hi, Brain! Thanks for your comments! They were very interesting to me. 🙂
Before I respond to your comments, however, I would like to make clear what I meant by a gentleman. I did not mean a man who comes in to save a woman because she “cannot” fend for herself. I did not mean a man who uses physical violence to meet…[Read more]

I mean, for being completely useless, this actually looks quite fun. (Don’t mind me, I just be over here stalking. )
It’s very fun! It would be awesome if you feel like joining us!

Both pretty, but her name is actually Isa.
2) Age: 17-20
She’s 22, you were close!

Yes! The more I talk to people from different Christian religions the more it really is one Faith one Family after all “one flock and one Shepherd”. And He said when people who weren’t his disciples started casting out demons in His Name “those…[Read more]

No, dad doesn’t like to travel so I don’t much. We used to go to Niagra every year for a family get together (not to the falls though but we do drive by them most times still and that was only for a day) and we’re going to Elam this fall but that’s about it.

Hi Brian. Ya I’ve been working so I haven’t been on in awhile. Right now I’m working on a Cinderella retelling and a fantasy book.
Yeah I was going to write one buuuut I decided I wanted a younger person and so it was a coming of age book not romance…though I guess you could technically say all the romance I…[Read more]

True. Some of the women at my youth group were talking about how they made lists and stuff of what they’d like their future husbands to be like when they were my age, and how the men they eventually married matched their lists almost perfectly – down to appearance.

@joelle-stone
My prayer was simply this:
“Lord, I only want the one You choose for me. I know every good and perfect gift comes from You. I know You give better than any I could choose for myself, so I yield all of the details into Your Hands. You know my wants and preferences, but most importantly, You know what I need to find completion, and…[Read more]-

In regard to the whole love at first sight, i think Brian, you hit the nail on the head. Biblically incorrect, logically stupid, it is a notion designed to fool people, especially younger ones, including myself. I think of when Paul tells Timothy, “Flee from youthful lusts,” which in part could be grouped with ‘love at first sight…

What is the greatest gift (besides birth) your earthly father ever gave you?
Hmm I would say his encouragement to pursue my love for writing. He’s like my first fan I suppose 🙂 and for teaching me unusual subjects from a really young age. He likes outer space and ancient history so he used to buy me picture books…[Read more]

Hi Neasa!
Since you are from “The Emerald Isle”, a place I have so longed to visit, can I ask you some questions about Ireland in general?
I have a character in my WIP that is from Ireland, and I wanted to have him be from an area that was a fishing port, but close the areas where there are fens and bogs that he might’ve explored as a boy. Can…[Read more] -
Hello Brian! I’m more than happy to help you out there, though I will clarify that I’m not an expert in Irishness. I am also not too well versed in the areas around Ireland. Believe it or not, I have not experienced a lot of it in my life so far. My most frequent destination in terms of sightseeing was probably Dublin. But I will try to answer…[Read more]

Just what I was looking for.
Since my “Surface World” characters are pulled out of Earth time, the period in which “Begglar” lived can be any”when”. (I just made that word up. 😉 )
I have a particular fondness for rural communities, so I am of your mind on the government intrusions and over…[Read more]

I actually have a question seeing as you’re well informed. How do you respond to someone who says that ‘oh communism is a great idea, it’s just never been done right.’ I’m getting that a lot, and I just really want an answer that will shut people up to be honest lol
