Sounds perfect! π I think we have enough details figured out that someone can write the rough draft for this.

@noodle-mum I love that! Benjamin Grey sounds good to me, though. Almost British XD

Praying for your friend and her boyfriend, sounds like a rough situation.
I’m praying for your grandfather and your family and that the doctors can figure that out. My grandfather is currently struggling mentally as well so I understand a little of how rough that can be for family. π

I agree with Grace though, we should try to finish brainstorming this thing so we can get it done. So we need to figure out the name and details of our MC, what exactly is the crime, who was either murdered or kidnapped, and what was the motive of who did it? And any details I might have forgotten. π

Rachel replied to the topic Time to write a mystery in the forum Announcements 6 years, 11 months ago
Yes, we should figure out the MC’s gender, name and the plot. π I like the idea of the MC being a guy, but it doesn’t matter, what do you guys want to do?
I don’t actually know when we have to have this done by, but Daeus will know. I know there is a time limit though.
If no one else wants to, I could write a rough draft of what we…[Read more]

@noodle-mum Great idea! Thanks for starting the thread.
And I’ll definitely be praying for that situation! It sounds very terrifying and difficult. π
For me, I would really appreciate prayers for my grandfather. He has… some very complicated mental problems. And no one in the medical profession has ever seen it before or knows how to help.…[Read more]

@noodle-mum that’s really cool! Sounds like it’ll be an interesting story π good luck!
Well, after talking with an editor briefly, I might be changing the idea and focusing it a little more, but here’s what I have currently:
Estranged sisters Gia and Vera are both having money problems, though one lives in poverty and the other in a gilded…[Read more]

I like what we have so far! But like many other people said, I’m way out of my league here, so Imma sit back and watch y’all do your thing, and then come back during editing time π
To summarize what’s been going on so far: Our MC has amnesia (TGA) and it is this fact that makes the audience initially believe that it was him that…[Read more]

@noodle-mum My welcome comes a bit late, but I welcome you to New Wessex all the same! It’s a pleasure to meet you! π
Also, somehow when I was going through things earlier, I managed to miss your last post! I think that the TGA could create some really interesting dynamics! A slightly ironic element might be introduced if they end up being a…[Read more]

@noodle-mum I love that so much. That username has much more personality behind it than I was expecting. Also, 10 siblings? That’s fantastic!! Big families are wonderful. My best friend is the third-oldest of 12, and her family’s dynamic is spectacular. (For me, at least, who gets to stand on the sidelines and be an objective bystander to the…[Read more]

Yeah, the guilds take a bit of getting used to when it comes to figuring out how things are done, but everyone really is super nice. π They’re a great bunch and really fun.I think that’s a great idea for story planning! It’s nice to meet you to! So when did you join us? π I’ve been on here for a while now, but I’m not always as active as I should be. I think our mystery ought to have some creative point, a theme, a good point. As a good mystery it should make the reader think, and throw something at them that they didn’t see coming.

@noodle-mum No problem! We write the story as a group, but what really happens is that one person takes on the task of writing a first draft based on the group’s conclusions, and then everyone pitches in to help edit.
