Hi, Noah (@kingdomfire7),
Many of you may think I am being hard on Lona. I figure she is tough enough to have a debate where she and I both have some passion without letting that debate sour into true animosity for one another. I have no such ill will toward Lona (@lonathecat), even though I may make her uncomfortable in my probing into her b…[Read more]

@kingdomfire7 Hey now, don’t put yourself or your story down! I did read it, but since I don’t really consider myself a fantasy writer, I wasn’t able to comment unless I joined the group. That being said, I’m willing to offer some critique if you’d care to hear it!
First off, I really enjoyed this story! I like the title “From Earth You Ca…[Read more]

Hey y’all, I’ve got a couple inquires for ya.
Whether you’ve written first person present or not, do you have any tips for writing it? Any common mistakes you see people commit?
Secondly, what are your thoughts on a first person present book with a few third person past interludes and possibly an epilogue? I’ve never seen a book with both past a…[Read more]

XD yes i love it when that happens. That makes sense. I mostly use a rough three-act structure. Actually, I usually pants (with maybe a rough outline), but now I’m learning that it’s important for me to know the background info ahead of time. Bc otherwise it’s hard for everything to really make sense. 😂 But I still love pantsi…

Um, the Kingdom Writers Guild has a flash fiction contest every season (the spring one’s over but the summer one should be comin’ up in like August or something? idk), and that’s been fun!
Where can I find information on that one? It’s far past time that I took part in a writing contest. xD

Entered any writing contests? Yep- uh 4? Didn’t place in any of ’em. XD And I think I can tell why on all of them. (tho technically one contest hasn’t had the results in yet so I’m still hopin’ xD) You?
Are the contests about quality of writing or word count?
I haven’t joined any official ones. Are there any that you would recommend?

XD yeah, that makes sense. I love characters. Plot is the tricky part but you’re right- it is so satisfying when you fix plot issues. (like my current novel….. very very glad SE taught me about the midpoint because I had no idea how to make an interesting middle XD)
Characters are amazing because they grow beyond you and suddenly you…[Read more]

I’m leaning more for young adult movies, but also I’d like to make/help make quality children’s films.
So do you have some of that real nice filming equipment like overhead sound systems and big cameras that move?
I will! XD thanks. idek how to subscribe to channels. There’s some kind of button you push somewhere, right?<…

But I can see that Deus vult means “God wills it”- probably used to mean Lord Willing
Yes to the first, but we use the phrase ‘lord willing’ to me ‘we hope and pray.’ Deus Vult/God Wills It was used by people to say ‘this is God’s will for us, and we must do it.’ For instance, in 1095, Pope Urban preached the first ever crusading spe…[Read more]

Yeah, it’s sort of an issue when the author is bored with their own novel. XD
I get bored with my own novels approximately once a day, but my characters are always there to drag me back to it XD They’re rather unreasonable. Often it’s great when you realize you need a plot overhaul in the middle, it’s very satisfying when it comes t…[Read more]

indeed they do! Nice to meet another Noah! when I was younger, there was another Noah at our co-op group thing, and whenever we’d pass each other on our way to class, we’d always go: “Hi, Noah!” “Hi, Noah!” it was so fun.
Yep, I know several other ‘Noahs.’ I believe it’s second most common boy name in the US (after Liam)

Hey Noah, I’ve just gotta say, that’s one fine name you’ve got there. You’re parents have excellent taste.
Anyways, I’m Noah, nice to meet ya. 🙃
and apparently have no nicknames. (two-syllable names are tricky to shorten. I mean if you tried with “Noah”, what would you get? No, Nah? Not very catchy)
I’ve ran into the same pre…[Read more]

Greetings, Noah! I’m Rose!
I’ve written one novel (Fight for the Soul of Orelia– I like it but it needs some work lol), and my current WIP is, well, I haven’t started it because I got halfway through and I was like: “Uh-oh: this thing is so boring.” So I redid the plot and now I like it lol. Now all that remains is to write it….
