But I shall be sure to tell you as soon as she decides. *nodnod*

Can I just say guys, that that was brilliant. *flails* You all worked really hard, and ended up writing a really cool story. It was also a really hard sort of task because ‘prose’ is so broad. But whatever the result, you guys did a stellar job! *applause* I’ve turned it in now, so we just have to wait and…[Read more]

@fctait
Hmm…It shouldn’t be different in different countries…*checks it out* Hmm… Yeah I see what you mean. Seperate to traditional and sustained meter.
Hopefully we can go with what @jessi-rae said. I’m pretty sure that the use of song actually falls under a change in prose which in a way is a type of effect.
I am willing to take full…[Read more]

Often it is thought that there are two ways to approach writing: Character driven, or plot driven. However, with well written writing, this does not need to be the case. In fact, it shouldn’t be the case. The two aspects should be interwoven and inseparable.
This also ends up being vital in mastering your suspense. Because, particularly in our m…[Read more]

@fctait Um. Well. Prose isn’t just a specific type of writing. You can have prose in and nonfiction–song and story. Some guilds aren’t even going with a conventional story structure, and are instead using a different style entirely. All prose is, is words.
The main thing is to make sure that the character voice and writing style shine through.…[Read more]

Thanks guys!
I’m doing a bit better, and have been allowed to go back to school for exams, so that’s a bonus. Just on a lot of medication and trying to not drop dead. 😛 Isn’t too bad, just means I’m rather spaced out.
Once again, thanks for the prayers.

@ariella-newheart Ah. Yes. *guilty glance at thread* It’s for looking at stories (movies, books, etc) that people have viewed, and discussing them. Just looking at how they did or didn’t do certain things. (Shall hopefully put something there at some point) And glad you liked the Plotting with…[Read more]

@mariposa XD Oh goodness. So much of that was priceless. I’m dying.
The gate blasted open because nothing is glitter proof.
So true. Doesn’t matter what you do, nothing is glitter proof. At all.
And mwahahaha! Only the flat arc was discovered. To be perfectly honest though…I don’t reckon rescuing the negative arc would be great…And the…[Read more]

See what you can add to the doc in the next day and a bit to make this story amazing! You have some brilliant ideas, we just need to work on getting it all there. I’ll be going over it again to tweak things at the end, but I want this to be as much of your own independent work as possible.
So go for it guys! Make Jane…[Read more]

So, Parimis, it has come to my attention, that having a space to put up tricks that help people know when to use certain words, pieces of grammar, etc, could be helpful. That will save having to hunt through all of the critues and things to find that one gem that someone had.
So, if you have any helpful little tit-bits, feel free to share!

@steward-of-the-penAmerican Monday MORNING this time is fine. Ideally Sunday, but seeing that I didn’t get told about it until Australian Tuesday, we have one day’s worth of a disadvantage. Plus, Jane’s Aussie, so, we have a bit of time. 😛
Sooner it’s done, the better though.

@e-jo3 Hmm… definitely will look into those things tomorrow. Our main issue actually is that we can’t include more. There are too many words as it. But hopefully we’ll sort it out before long.
