Chloe covered her mouth with her hands. The bear grunted. Birds flapped through the air. The elephant swung its trunk, as frogs hopped around, with a bald eagle gliding through the sky above. A venomous black serpent wrapped itself around Nicholasโs arm.
โWhat a surprise!โ Nicholas laughed. โYouโre so awed, but this is merely a little of my col…[Read more]

Oh yes, I love this topic! This year I’ve discovered that I struggle writing a completely fictional story. I have no idea why, but I just cant. So I decided to write stories that are based off true stories, but not true enough to be called nonfiction or anything.
Also, I love writing stories that are completely untold. Stories that are…[Read more]

@evelyn – I do, especially when I’m building my world’s history and writing little stories of its past wars. One day, when I’m older and have more experience in life, I want to write a book about my family’s lives in Vietnam. But right now I’m not quite ready for nonfiction.
I find myself inspired by all stories, really. Which is why I love…[Read more]

@evelyn – That first story of your friend was chillingly relatable because…I’m half Vietnamese. My mother tells me amazing stories that my grandparents told her about surviving through both the Japanese invasion and French invasion, wars that not many of us Americans know about because we often focus on our war with Vietnam. I love visiting…[Read more]

@evelyn *nods* My mom might have something different to say about it, though. (She doesn’t like the fluorescent lights at the DMV.) If you’re worried about taking the written test, don’t be. As long as you are prepared, you’ll do fine. And don’t anticipate failure like I did. That just silly. ๐
I have only written one other sci-fi project, a…[Read more]

@evelyn *hands you tissues and hot chocolate*
No, this is my first time. Well, I kinda tried to back a few years ago, but I’d never even read any, so it flopped, big time. This is the first time I’ve ever seriously written any.
@ariella-newheart Just read the articles and loved them! Especially Daeus’ one about slang! XD Thank you again!

I guessing you mean the story with Jane?
Anyway, thanks, I wasn’t trying to write a happy story.
I’ve always wanted to write something that would make someone cry.

Aww, it’s okay. I’ve been to the DMV about four times in the past month (for various reasons) and it’s not that bad. In fact, it’s a good plac…[Read more]

You could even say it was…
A statement that promptly led
To a gold rush excursion
Of eager young wordsmiths mining
For a satisfying conclusion.
So tell me, are you pleased,
To see so much about cheese?

@evelyn ย @kb-writer ย Wow, those are really cheesy poems. 😆 ย OK, this is fun:
I essayed once to write a poem about cheese.
I tried awfully hard, if you please.
But try as I might, I failed;
This effort my poetry curtailed.
So now I shall write about peas.

@evelyn XD Yep. I’m perfectly fine. I found that pic a while back and thought it was really cool. But… since I don’t have any D&D charries I couldn’t really use it for anything. Then I realized it could be my profile pic.ย

@Evelyn I love this topic! I think it’s all too easy as a writer to forget that real life is where the most incredible stories always take place ๐

@evelyn Why, yes, I did bake it. There’s a funny story to go along with that. When I was little, my dad filmed me in our kitchen as if I was hosting a cooking show. I made a coffee cake. ๐
School starts on August 12th for me. I’m going to a private school this year instead of being homeschooled. Can’t wait to see what that’s like. (Really, I…[Read more]

Holy cheese
It might sound cheesy
To call cheese holy
But it has holes, complainers! Please,
I think it’s easy
To mean it fully
When you say you eat holy cheese.

@evelyn I did finish! *bounces like a hyperactive rabbit* My friends and I did a month-long writing challenge together. I still have eight thousand words to write to make 50K. Goodness, I think this month was the most productive in my life. (For writing, at least. xD)
