No problem! It’s very interesting and (at least in my case) startlingly accurate! Even aside from writing thorough characters I’ve found it very helpful to identify certain traits I should work on, or expect (or not) in others π

The MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) is a personality test. If you fill it out, it will render one of the possible sixteen personality types for your character. It can be really interesting to read how your character’s personality type would typically react in different scenarios (relationships, work, worldview etc.). Of course, there’s a…[Read more]

@millennium your aesthetics are stunning!!!
@r-m-archer She only has one arm. One of my friends has a similar disability and it was shockingly sad hearing her talk about lack of role-model representation when she was growing up.
I know it’s going to be a rough ride, but I’m so excited to start writing!!

Hello! I’m also late to the party π
This will be my third (?) attempt at Nano, but the first one that I’ve decently planned for so I’mΒ reallyΒ hoping for a bit more success this year…
Synopsis:
When her friend (and new brother-in-law) is kidnapped, Diana, a disabled princess, must use her still-developing air magic to save him.ΒNot a very lo…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 you must have some top-notch time-management skills!
I don’t have anything ready at the moment, but thanks for tagging me anyways. π I have a feeling post-NaNoWriMo there’s going to be a bucketload of beta requests haha.

Corine replied to the topic Is it okay to write about magic? in the forum Research and Worldbuilding 6 years, 6 months ago
Thank you both for your replies! I really appreciate it π
So something I feel both of you are stressing very much is that the way in which magic is represented is more important than whether or not it is present in the story. This to me makes sense: it’s a pretty nice parallel with real-word ‘grey areas’, in which…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hello! I’m having a few doubts and I’m hoping I can find some answers here.</p>
I’m in the midst of plotting a novel in which magic is very much part of the plot and conflict. However this morning when reading my Bible I came across a verse calling satan “the prince of the power of the air.” (Eph. 2:2)Now this…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 I’ve also had a few miserable fails haha! π
@r-m-archer @seekjustice Thanks so much for the tips guys! I’m feeling more confident for this year already! A large part of succeeding seems to hinge off your mindset in approaching the month so hopefully by prepping now (and hyping myself up as you suggest π )Β I’ll have a good…[Read more]

This is an interesting conversation, and I’d like to add my own observations. I’m a very newbie blogger myself but I’ve helped set up blogs for other people and I’ve done a good bit of research as well. Anyways, take what I say with a pinch of salt.
I don’t think the only solution is to have multiple blogs, I think you just need to decide which…[Read more]

Corine replied to the topic Question: What the Dickens is True Love? in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 11 months ago
Hello π Thought I’d add my own two cents to this question.
First off, MASSIVE question and I don’t think anyone can really understand all these nuances properly.
As @princess-foo and @the-inkspiller have said, marriage is meant to be an image of Christ and His Church and His utmost devotion to her.
I think God, in His omnipotence, knows who we…[Read more]
