Yeah.. There are a lot of characters in the Wingfeather Saga, even without those lost.
@mischevous-thwapling
It would be cool to have Podo back.. But I agree that having him alive again feels as if it detracts from Podo’s sacrifice. And also, AP had his life winding down before then. Podo’s life is over, his time is done. Let’s let the sleeping sleep. But, hey, if we really want to do that, fine by me! Should I have Sara be the one to find Sylvie?
Could one steal past those watchful dragons? I thought I could.

-C.S. LewisSeptember 19, 2020 at 8:18 pm #119741Yeah! Join! And yes, I agree completely on the Podo subject. I think there was even a line somewhere in the third book comparing him to like a sunset or something, saying how the glory of his youth was fading… 🙁
And I like the idea of Sara finding Sylvie, but I suppose you might have to run it by @kylie-wingfeather first, ’cause, after all, she’s her character, so I don’t really have a say in that stuff I suppose 😛
So glad you’ve joined!

Is it fine by you if I have Sara find Sylvie?

September 23, 2020 at 4:51 pm #119856Sara stepped cautiously towards the tree she was fairly certain Janner had gone up after disagreeing with Larnik(he did not like Larnik’s trying to force his sister into a social gathering. At all, if that’s fine with whoever’s playing him?). Its leaves shivered as she approached, aking her certain that someone had to be up there with the lack of a breeze. “Janner?” she called softly.

-C.S. LewisSeptember 23, 2020 at 6:57 pm #119871Yay, you broke the virtual silence! Congrats 😛 I’ll try to post as soon as possible.
BTW, you did a fantastic job writing from Sara’s POV. You got her right, spot on.

September 24, 2020 at 12:09 pm #119906Arundelle watched as Kalmar and Janner bounded off to play with the other boys. Her husband, Artham Wingfeather, started to stride after them, but Arundelle placed a gentle hand on his arm and turned him away. “Let them go,” she said. “They are in no danger here.”
Artham paused, and Arundelle knew he was considering telling her no. But even though his duties of Throne Warden lay heavy upon him, he knew that his nephews were safe. “What would you suggest instead?”
Arundelle laughed. “Refreshments, conversation, and our gifts.” She pulled a simply wrapped package from her flowing cloak. “Nia said Olumphia would enjoy this.”

September 24, 2020 at 4:04 pm #119916@joelle-stone, I love how you captured Arundelle and her PoV, even though AP never wrote anything from it! And thanks @mischievous-thwapling!

-C.S. LewisSeptember 24, 2020 at 7:13 pm #119920Sylvie fell out of the tree when she heard the voice. It wasn’t her fault. She had just been startled. But still. She, Sylvie Cassidy Aernil Bronin, the girl who had learned very early on that if you have three brothers you can not just fall out of trees, had just fallen out of… a tree. The young girl landed in a pile of leaves from last fall. On one hand, Sylvie was lucky. She didn’t get hurt. On the other, wellll… It was last year’s leaf pile, and it was crawling with dozens of bugs. Sylvie groaned and sat up. “Are you ok?” She looked up at the girl who had startled her. She was one of the Annieran party. Sylvie groaned again in her mind. Was this her worst day or what?! “Yeah, I’m fine.” She began to get up, and came face to face with a huge, horrible, terrifying, people-eating spider*. Sylvie was scared stiff of spiders.
*On the contrary, the spider Sylvie Aernil came face to face with was a tiny, fuzzy, cute, and completely harmless garden spider. For more information on it, please see page 10 of Pembrick’s Creaturepedia, vol. 2.

Heeheee :)! How did y’all like it?

September 28, 2020 at 9:27 am #120062Hi everyone! I had a really big brainstorm the other day! So, what if Artham and Esben had a little sister, a Song Maiden. And what if this little sister of theirs, had a daughter (y’all are probably seeing where this is going :)). And what if, when Castle Rysen was attacked, this daughter was taken to the Green Hollows. In other words, what if Sylvie is the Jewels’ cousin?
Anyway, what do y’all think?

September 28, 2020 at 5:20 pm #120074I loved it, Kylie! I love how you slipped in the Pembrick’s Creaturepedia reference. It was hilarious 😛
Sure! Having Sylvie as their cousin would be awesome! It would give them a nice family tie to her. I’m great with it if everyone else is 😀
@everybody
I’ll try to post soon… 🙂

September 29, 2020 at 4:24 pm #120107Ok. Is it just me, or do we not update as frequently as on the Wingfeather sight?

September 29, 2020 at 4:38 pm #120108It’s most certainly not just you. Every forum I’m on doesn’t seem to be especially active. I think everyone’s busy with school (I know I am).
Also, your idea is really good! I like it. It’s actually really funny, ’cause I was going to write a Wingfeather fan-fic about Kinnan Wingfeather, a Throne Warden who was sent to the Green Hollows as a baby because it wasn’t safe for her in Anneria. Then the person who took her to the Hollows died without reporting where he left her, so she was lost. She was raised by the Keeper of the Hollows and his wife, but eventually found out who she was because her younger brother and Crown Prince ran away and ran into her. I planned for 40 pages, then our network crashed and I lost it all. Yeah, that wasn’t fun. 😛
