So now Andor is good? Is he good for the entirety of the book, or is he bad then turns good ( I think that is the better of the two options)? So Mr. B is “the greater evil” per se.
Yeah, I think fighting real people would work better too. And we don’t really have a lot of real, straight-forward, hand-to-hand combat in the Cullings.
Yeah, an animal in the Labyrinth sounds cool, have at it!
So, if it’s okay with everybody I am going to develop one more main character of mine (male) because I want him to lose because I want to be in on the slave action, if ya’lls don’t mind.
Winter Rose,
Ummmm. I would go with option B.

So, I think I figured out the whole Mechanical vs. Living battle mix up.
The Living Battle:
The first round, the contestants compete against animals. Whoever can defeat his/her animal, moves on to the next round, where the player battles in hand-to-hand combat with other competitors who have made it to the 2nd round. Eliminations take place, when the loser is unable to fight any more, is wounded, or is killed. (Judicial branch — still don’t know how to incorporate this into it tho, somebody mentioned that I had developed it, could you block quote that for me? I don’t remember what I put. I think @joelle-stone did that for me.)
Mechanical Battle:
Fight a mechanical creature. You defeat the creature by finding the robotic beast’s power switch, protected by a computer or something technological like that, then power it down, get the collar off, and do all of that without getting yourself injured or killed. (Technology branch)

August 26, 2020 at 11:24 pm #118753I just kinda morphed everything together. I know somebody had mentioned that we still have to do real animals for the Living battle because of Wingiby’s hamster (Ahem… still cracks me up), so I incorporated real fighting and animal (hamster) fighting into that 🙂

So that’s a name I thought would be cool for Mr. B dude. We need a backstory, planet, motive, for this guy to be doing what he is doing. 🙂
Talk to you all later!

Thanks! 😀 And yeah, names are difficult, especially with villains! You want something evil, yet not too obvious…
Bixwort (brother of Maxwort? Former criminal?)
Bandy
Barthis
Those are awesome!
Also, I saw your question here, and I had forgotten to ask you exactly what you meant.
Maybe the organization is the people who the contestants go to, then they’re used to rescue criminals?
Do you mean the organization is those who collect the contestants from their planets to bring them to the Culling? Sorry, I just wanted to make sure I understand, because it sounds like a really cool idea, and would fit in with the opposing criminal parties (Andor vs. B-whats-his-name). 😀
ROSE
I am torn about the leaderboard!!!
I’m probably with whatever you said, gathering the eight to capture criminals and have them join the EU.
Ok, good! But If y’all have any other ideas, I’d like to hear them; I’m still not sure I’m satisfied with that plan.
And B’s name doesn’t have to start with a B, it can begin with whatever — I think. Unless “B” seems to be the best, I dunno 😛 And thanks for explaining about Mr. B! You condensed it a lot better than I could’ve, LOL
And for your characters outfit, I’d chose B. What is up with this letter?! (My name starts with a B, we have Mr. B, we have outfit B…) Costume A is really cool, but it seems rather complicated and techy and spacy, if you take my meaning. B is simple, stylish, and more Egyptish. BTW, Ancient Egypt was such a great choice for a planet! I’m doing American Wild west, and another as mountainous country based off of folks who live in high mountain regions.
JOY
Wingiby, you are so smart! Please, let’s do that!
*cheeky smile* I know, aren’t I?
So now Andor is good? Is he good for the entirety of the book, or is he bad then turns good ( I think that is the better of the two options)? So Mr. B is “the greater evil” per se.
Yeah, he’s bad then turns good toward the end. 😉
So, if it’s okay with everybody I am going to develop one more main character
Go for it!
THE LIVING BATTLE
Great idea! Thanks! But I know we had the Final Battle at the very end, and I thought that was hand to hand combat. But maybe it’s where they divide up into two teams, so see how they get along with teamwork?
THE MECHANICAL BATTLE
Perfecto.
I just kinda morphed everything together. I know somebody had mentioned that we still have to do real animals for the Living battle because of Wingiby’s hamster (Ahem… still cracks me up), so I incorporated real fighting and animal (hamster) fighting into that.
Aw, thanks! And I figured that if y’all don’t want very large animals, then for a change they could fight dangerous insects or small creatures (hamsters, etc) for a extra test on skills.
Bartram Kobe
Ooo! Another cool name! You guys are name machines. Now, uh, *twiddles thumbs nervously* if… we do do a backstory… uh…. Maybe we don’t have to? I mean, some criminals just do what they do. They all have a reason, but sometimes we don’t know. I mean, bad kings wanted more power just because they had selfish hearts like all human beings.
Maybe, though, at the end, it is revealed that B’s motives were actually quite close to Andor’s — and aha! Eureka! What if A and B are related?! I also had an idea for a showdown between A and B: what if, at the end, they fight it out in the arena used for the Cullings, and Andor kills B? That’s when B reveals why he wanted to be the top crime lord.
Just blurting ideas, LOL, so not everything has to be used. If you don’t want to do it, just shout it down! 😉
I light the arrow, pull the bow,
Shoot that fire right through my soul.August 27, 2020 at 2:06 pm #118775Oh, and a couple other things:
1. When we are done with all of this developing and stuff, will we construct a plot line? We know what will happen, but do we have all the steps planned out? Or should we go with the flow? I’ve done some other collaborative stories; and we never really planned, LOL We just figured it out as we went 😛
2. Do any of you know how to post pictures and photos? I did a drawing of Kix that I wanted to share with y’all — before I decide it doesn’t look good at all.

Shoot that fire right through my soul.August 27, 2020 at 4:16 pm #118787Answer to question 1: Yes, I have had the same thought we need to.
Answer to question 2: So push the very last button in the bar.

and then if it’s on your computer, click the file with the magnifying glass, or put the link in the box.
Let’s just start his name with Mr. B. I really, really, really want to.
Yes, but the Final battle, is free for all with cool tech, hover boards and We could develop super awesomeness. We aren’t doing that for Living battle, it’s just simple.
Are we going with what I said (mechanical and living)? I think it’s a good start. We can expound from there.
Yeah, we don’t really have to have a back story.
Relatives would be cool. (Eureka, you make me feel so honored LOL)
Umm Andor kills B and then he reveals why he wanted to be top crime lord? That doesn’t go. He’s dead… LOL
But yeah that’s a super cool idea. And it would be cool to have Andor kill B.

August 28, 2020 at 10:19 am #118807Thanks for the feedback. Option B it is then!
Wing
We should definitely have that final battle and motive reveal. Do they know through the whole story that they’re related? Or is it a big surprise to everyone?
Earlier we said Andor has the players kill the man who murdered his parents… the new idea would be in place of that, right?
@everyone
I just discovered that there’s a Star Wars character with the last name Andor… just thought I’d mention that…

August 28, 2020 at 1:00 pm #118810Thank you! 😀 I’ll try to get it on the computer, but I’ll probably have to ask my dad to do that, because he knows everything and I know very little 😛
And yeah! “B” is fine with me!
Oo-oo-oo! The Final Battle is going to be so cool! I had another idea then, that for the battle, Kix could ride an arkaina. *big smiley*
I’m good with the mechanical and living battles!
Yes, eureka!!!!! Have you ever heard the story of Archimedes and the golden crown? He basically invented the word, LOL
Oh dear, yes. He’s dead, XD eessh, am I a scatterbrain. I meant that during their fight he’d reveal it, he he.
Thanks for the feedback. Option B it is then!
Your totally welcome 😉
We should definitely have that final battle and motive reveal. Do they know through the whole story that they’re related? Or is it a big surprise to everyone?
Hmm… I was thinking that it would be a big reveal, because who doesn’t like surprises, LOL? Well, maybe Andor doesn’t like surprises. That could be a character trait, perhaps? But actually… if they both knew… oooo! Could we do that? What do y’all think?
Earlier we said Andor has the players kill the man who murdered his parents… the new idea would be in place of that, right?
Oh yes, I’m assuming. Maybe he could find the actual man who did it, and have him killed in the Cullings, because since B is top crime lord he wouldn’t be on the streets doing the dirty work. I was thinking Andor doesn’t like killing people, but when it comes to justice, he’s ready to do it.
I just discovered that there’s a Star Wars character with the last name Andor… just thought I’d mention that…
Ahhhhhgggghhhh!!!! Good grief, REALLY?!?! I thought I came up with an original name, and of all the things to have it before me, STAR WARS?!?! Life is just not fair…. uggg….

I hope I’m not interrupting. I just wanted to say that I’ve been peeking in here (in a non-creepy way, of course 😛 ), and I’m very impressed with how much backstory, and depth, and thought, and complexity for the system you all are putting in here. I mean, y’all are really molding such an intricate world, and I just wanted to congratulate and encourage you guys. I can struggle with world building and systems, so this just blows my mind. Your government is extraordinary. Well done.

August 28, 2020 at 3:29 pm #118818Lol, thanks! We might have room for you to join if you’d like to… 🙂
August 28, 2020 at 3:35 pm #118819Sorry I’ve been behind, y’all. Life is hectic. 🙂 But cool planning!
As for Andor and Bixwort/Bandy/Barthis/Bartram (I like that name…), I like the related idea, along with the villains-know-but-everyone-else-doesn’t. but why can’t Bixwort/Bandy/Barthis/Bartram have also killed Andor’s parents? I mean, it’s been YEARS since the… accident, and Bixwort/Bandy/Barthis/Bartram probably rose from dirty street work to criminal mastermind in that time. Maybe he killed Andor’s parents on a dare, or maybe Andor was pretty high up in the social caste, and Bixwort/Bandy/Barthis/Bartram wanted his dad’s position? So he was trying to get rid of any possible heirs ’cause he’s related and next in line? Cousin, or maybe even uncle or nephew or something. Even related by marriage or something. *shrugs* just a few ideas.
August 28, 2020 at 4:19 pm #118821Aww, thanks so much! Your encouragement really means a lot.
I like the idea of having him be the killer… a dare sounds pretty cool, as if Andor’s loss was something trifle, and didn’t mean much to Mr. B, but the jealous action would probably support character motivation more. Or maybe it was both…
What I know in my head and what I believe in my heart are two entirely different things.
August 28, 2020 at 10:33 pm #118847All the stuff about them being related, and the reveal in the fight sounds really cool. Let’s stick with it.
Wing, thanks for clarifying all that stuff.
WHAT!!!!??????? You’re kidding me! There’s a Star Wars character with the last name Andor? (Just curious, who?). This is jinxed against us or something…
Bixwort/Bandy/Barthis/Bartram could kill the parents, but it also would be cool to have this other guy… Ya know. UP to you 😛
Hi!!! I’m so glad you think our planning is great! That is SOOO encouraging. Have you read the Collaborative Story Details Posting page yet? If you haven’t search for it in the topics, we put everything that is planned out in there, there’s some cool stuff 🙂
