      Ideas on how to mold the games to the branches (if this doesn’t work, don’t feel bad about shooting it down, as Thwapling would say. Anyway…):

      Military Branch:

      The Final Battle (No changes)?

      Scientific Branch:

      The Labyrinth – Get out of the rigged maze without falling into a trap. Combat is allowed, and dirty tricks permitted to delay other players. First out of the maze wins, followed by second, third, and so on.

      We could add a few rigged maze traps that involve scientific stuff. Since I’m not a sciencey person, someone else will have to develop this. 🙂

      Technology Branch:

      The Mechanical Battle – Fight a [mechanical] creature. You defeat it by removing a restraining collar from the creature. You can defeat others’ creatures as well. Places are given when all of the creatures are defeated.

      Just like Wingiby said, I was thinking that you’d have to find the robotic beast’s power switch (which is probably protected by a computer or something technological like that), then power it down, get the collar off, and do all of that without getting yourself injured or killed.

      Diplomacy Branch:

      The Race – The government provides hover boards, hover-blades, hover bikes, and a few other small vehicles. The track may work well in the Desert biome, but whoever picks this can decide. Weapons and combat are allowed, but sabotage is discouraged. Points are determined by which place you win, but also collecting several items scattered about the race course. There are also several impediments and/or traps about the track to slow players down.

      Impediments may include having to talk your way through something, or maybe the Judges are sneaky here and judge the players on how they react during the meet-your-fellow-contestants party, while telling the contestants that they will be judged during the Race. Does that make sense? And maybe Andor can get info to his fav. eight, like giving the answers to a test? Just a few ideas.

      Judicial Branch:

      The Living Battle – Fight a living creature. You defeat it by removing a restraining collar from the creature. You can defeat others’ creatures as well. Places are given when all of the creatures are defeated.

      No idea how this would relate to the judicial branch, unless… nope, that doesn’t work. Ideas, anybody?

      Legislative Branch:

      Touch – Basically, touch another person, and in turn they become the tagger. There is a time limit on the match, and at the end players win their places depending on how many times they were tagged and how many people they tagged.

      Perhaps the way you get points is by collecting coins from the people you’ve tagged? That way, whoever has the most coins wins, and it would kind of be like collecting taxes? That was really lame, but I have no other ideas!

      Medical Branch:

      Infection – Each player gets a disc and must attach it to another player while avoiding getting one attached to themselves.

      Maybe instead of attaching a disc to someone, you have to pin them to the ground and wrap a wound or something, kind of like goat tying in a rodeo?

      TOU Branch:

      The Obstacles Course – Perform the best in an all-out, state of the art obstacle course filled with the most difficult terrain and equipment to traverse.

      Maybe the idea is that you have to go through the obstacles course, but to actually succeed you have to find a piece of info (listening to a conversation, finding a note, something along those lines) and deliver it safely to the end. You will be chased.

      Thoughts? Ideas for the lame ones? Any “absolutely not!”s or “Definitely yes!”s or “Maybe we could make that work…”s?

        Also, is there going to be a written test?

          @wingiby-iggiby,

          And I love your idea for Andor helping our team defeat recruited criminals? Maybe the organization is the people who the contestants go to, then they’re used to rescue criminals? But why would our team help Andor defeat people trying to defeat his villainous rule?

            @wingiby-iggiby

            I’m good with your 16 Judge names, and I already threw together a few Judge ideas, so maybe I can give their personalities to the new names. (winter rose)

            Yes, by all means, please do!

            Andor pick one of the players to be his puppet. He causes them to win almost every game because he has access to the programmer of the game boards. The player could maybe be willing to work with Andor, but would risk a lot of anyone found out. (winter rose)

            Umm. Okay.

            Yes winter rose, let’s DEFINITELY do the slavery thing. Glad that settled. 🙂

            Wingiby Iggiby, YOU ARE SO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!! (that entrance of yours was great!)

            EU for short is great! Elite Unit is such a cool name 🙂

             I think Andor’s plan was to use the Cullings to sift out eight people to use as his “special” force, which would then command the Jedi Police and start a galaxy wide purge of all criminals and those Andor deems a threat to society

            Ummm, I didn’t know that. Ok

            What if, at the conclusion or our tale, Andor helps our team to defeat the undercover organization who is trying to rescue criminals and revolt against Andor’s rule?

            Andor is helping the good guys, that doesn’t sound like him… As Joelle said, why would our team help Andor defeat people trying to defeat his villainous rule? I am kinda confused, can you explain this please?

            All those names: what is 16 plus 16? 32 names?! I love ’em!

            I used fantasy name generators 🙂

            Joelle, your branches with the games is good. Since your brain was used to make that, let’s go with that because I wouldn’t want all that brain juice you put into that to be wasted. Let me read it again and see if I can expound on the ones you had questions about how to do.

              @melodyjoy,

              Don’t save my brain juice! I drain it once or twice or a dozen times a day, and have found a vending machine that supplies me when I’m drained. 🙂 I want this to be the best it can, which means nit-pick, trash, and shred my ideas to your heart’s content!

              Whatever the case, I appreciate your concern. 🙂 And your quote. That’s awesome!! Also, I can’t wait to see if you can come up with something!! 😀

                @melodyjoy

                  Ummm, so Joelle? You put the same description for Living battle and Mechanical battle, remove a restraining collar from a creature (wether mechanical or living).

                  Mechanical battle should be with a mechanical animal, definitely, and what you put goes very well with the tech branch.

                  Living battle should be with real people. Thinking about how that goes with judicial….

                  Just wanted to point that out. Am still thinking…

                      @joelle-stone

                      I really like your Technology, Diplomatic , and TOU connection ideas.

                      Maybe there could be a written test? Would that take the place of one of the other competitions if we really can’t get Judicial to work?

                      @melodyjoy
                      @wingiby-iggiby

                      Actually, we should probably add the written test. There will be more than eight games because we have all of the other contestants, right? Unless we have, like, twenty people eliminated the first game.

                      Does it work to have Judicial connected with the written test (which needs a cooler name)? It wouldn’t need a biome, it would stand alone as a ninth.

                      Is the Living Battle players vs. animals?

                      (Also, @melodyjoy, your notes look great! So organized!! What app do you use?)

                      What I know in my head and what I believe in my heart are two entirely different things.

                        As for all these branches with their games and everything, whew! Maybe we should focus on them one at a time; first sort out the scientific branch, and then the technology branch, etc. Thank you for outlining them, because that gives us something to start with!

                        @winter_rose

                        Definitely. Need. Written. Test. I am too lazy to figure out anything else, so yeah. And man, we will need a lot more games. Or a lot of failures.

                        WAIT.

                        I think I may have just had an idea.

                        So, what if NO ONE is eliminated till the end? EVERYBODY participates in each game, and their performance is monitered by the judges. Now, if a person is wounded, that may result in a problem, but I am not going to pay attention to that in the moment. What I’m saying is, each person joins in on each game so their weakness and strengths can be seen. Then, the person who excels most in a certain area is appointed to apprenticeship. So no one is eliminated or sold into slavery or whatever until the end.

                        Ta da!

                        Again, this may be what we were thinking about the whole time, and I am just really slow right now. If that is the case, I will promptly go hide under the bed.

                        ***

                        So…. You may all think I’m ignoring this, but I’m not; I’m just waiting till the end to bring it up because I’m going to drone on about it for a while. So about Andor. It sounded like a lot better of an idea when I thought of it than when I blurted it out. This is the problem with Blurters. They blurt without thinking. Ahem.

                        So Andor’s plan for the Cullings…. I thought he was taking eight people to form his special team. But I think we are all thinking different things, which, considering what we are trying to do, is expected. So how about y’all post what y’all thought Andor’s plan with the Culling was. Then we’ll go from there.

                        ***

                        As for Andor turning good guy… *sheepish smile* I didn’t explain very well. So let me try to state my thoughts; but again, it definitely does not sound as good as when I first thought it. My idea was that Andor was trying to get rid of evil, but not doing it the right way. Then there is this large criminal organazation headed by a big-time baddie. This guy was responsible for Andor’s parents’ deaths, and the planned assassination for the governor that killed Mary Lain and Drake. He is, if you may, the other big bad guy.

                        So, this bad guy wants to gid rid of Andor, who, while doing damage to everybody in general, is also making the criminal world suffer. So this bad guy (can I just call him B? for Bad?) starts a revolt. B gains support from other people besides his friends to overthrow Andor by saying he’ll “right all of Andor’s wrongs” and “make life better” and all that good stuff. But in reality, he just wants to take Andor’s position and rule the galaxy as a tyrant.

                        I suppose it is a sort of “hidden” bad guy sorta thing. I was thinking, at the end, Andor could be shown how wrong he is, and how he is making people suffer. He would then turn againt B and work with our team to defeat him, for B is now getting more power through the support of the afflicted people who desperately want to get rid of Andor — not knowing they’ll just be falling into another deep pit of despair.

                        ***

                        This is very loose, and there is a lot to be considered and worked out: such as how B will be (B will be, ha ha) defeated without all these tricked people dying as they fight for him, thinking they are on the right side. So it’s confusing: Andor is doing wrong, and B is doing wrong, and they are two wrongs trying to win over the other, if you get it.

                        That was sooooo long, and I hope it even made sense. Actually, re-reading it, it is very confusing, but I don’t want to type it out all over again, LOL

                        It might make things more complicated, so if y’all want to turn it down, DON’T worry about offending me.

                          Wing: I love your idea! I love secret villains and stuff. The only problem is that now we have to come up with a name for B. *groans* Actually, I really love working with names, but I’m terrible with villains.

                          Bixwort (brother of Maxwort? Former criminal?)

                          Bandy

                          Barthis

                          Etc. 🙂

                          Really good ideas! I’m good with all of your ideas. 🙂

                          Winter Rose: Written test would be a really good idea. I think Melody’s idea on how to incorporate the Living Battle into the judicial branch works well, but maybe there’s a written test to make sure you qualify? ‘Cause even with spying, picking up people from random planets could end badly. Perhaps the written test is an extra “safety” measure, and perhaps Andor is the one who grades them, so he gets a better idea of who he’d like to select? Tossing around ideas.

                          Melody: Yeah, I was copy/pasting Rose’s original descriptions. She put “Same as the Mechanical Battle” for the Living Battle’s description. But that’s a good idea. :/ Maybe the new contestants are pitted against the old contestants? Although, Wing wanted her character to fight a hamster… :/ Maybe the contestants are assigned a creature according to how they scored on the written test?

                          Thanks for the ideas, everyone! Everything’s coming together…

                            I really like the idea of not eliminating anyone until the end. I think that will work very well with what we already have. Maybe we could have a leaderboard so the players can see how well they are doing? Or maybe they have no idea what place they have… anyway, we’ll see what everyone else thinks.

                            I didn’t really think much about Andor’s plan, so I’m probably with whatever you said, gathering the eight to capture criminals and have them join the EU.

                            I love the Mr. B idea. Does his name really need to start with a B or can it be whatever?

                            @joelle-stone

                            The judicial/Living battle is ok with me, though we may want to have them fight animals as another game because I’d really like to include it… if it doesn’t work out I’ll live, though. 🙂

                            It’s a great idea to have Andor grade the Qualification exams.

                              So we’re going to have two bad guys now? Mr. B and Andor. Phwesh. This is so complicated. I’m a little confused on WIngiby’s description of what Mr B and Andor are doing so maybe somebody could explain and we could expound a little  😉

                              Written test sounds cool.

                              Does it work to have Judicial connected with the written test (which needs a cooler name)? It wouldn’t need a biome, it would stand alone as a ninth.

                              We cannot have a 9th game cause then we would have to have a 9th branch. So, let’s combine the written test with something. Or we could just use it for like a smartness test. Did you guys already have something in mind for this?

                              Is the Living Battle players vs. animals?

                              Mechanical battle is contestants vs. mechanical animals, and it would be very lame if living battle was humans vs. live animals, that’s to similar. I was thinking we could do human vs. human… I’m not sure what ya’lls thought.

                              I use the notes app that came with my Mac.

                              Maybe we should focus on them one at a time;

                              Wingiby, you are so smart! Please, let’s do that!

                              And man, we will need a lot more games. Or a lot of failures.

                              But no! (sorry, let me calm down here… ok ready now) We only have 8 branches of government, which means we only have 8 games. So yeah.

                              Some people gotta lose. LOL

                              So, what if NO ONE is eliminated till the end? EVERYBODY participates in each game, and their performance is monitered by the judges.

                              My understanding was that everybody already participated in each game.

                              yeah, good idea. Let’s see about doing that.

                              but maybe there’s a written test to make sure you qualify? ‘Cause even with spying, picking up people from random planets could end badly. Perhaps the written test is an extra “safety” measure

                              Mhmm. yeah. Lets do that. I like that

                               Maybe we could have a leaderboard so the players can see how well they are doing? Or maybe they have no idea what place they have…

                              We could go either way. Suspense would build, and tension if they didn’t know.

                              The judicial/Living battle is ok with me, though we may want to have them fight animals as another game because I’d really like to include it… if it doesn’t work out I’ll live, though.

                              So, you’re okay with both being animals? I guess my detail oriented brain screams NOOO! but I can see how not everybody’s brain would do that. I am flexible, so I don’t really care. WIngiby’s hamster idea is still up in the air as well.

                              Ok cool.

                                Okay… so basically Mr. B is the crime lord. He wants to get rid of Andor and rule the galaxy. He tells people he’s helping them by getting rid of Andor and Andor’s ways, but he’s really just a tyrant. Andor sees the error in his own ways, and joins the good guys to defeat Mr.B. Hope that helps!

                                Okay, we ONLY have EIGHT games. Originally, before we had the branch link, we had more games, and players got eliminated each game. I think that’s why there was some confusion. Eight games works much better, and we can stick with that.

                                I do see how the Living and Mechanical battles are too similar. Fighting other people will probably work better. I may add an animal into the Labyrinth just for my character to encounter, do you think that would be okay? Or too much?

                                  I can’t decide which look I want for my character, Osiris (Ancient Egypt). Could you guys tell me which one you like better? As soon as I color him I’ll get his and my other character’s bios up.
