If I may suggest something?
Try copy/pasting the story or whatever into a Google doc, and then send us the invite link here. I hate trying to mess with PDFs. Google docs is what I use for everything, except for the word docs I have on my thumb drive.

Oh thanks! I can’t use Google docs right now though I can read them but I’ll remember that it’s gonna be useful at some point! (I bet it’s cos Google docs are more connected to the Internet and thus easier to hack but also easier to pass around and pdfs aren’t as connected so maybe that I could use in a story if I learned more about hacking and that…has nothing to do with this XD). Thanks!

I like Marek, he sounds a little like my WIP bounty-hunter and I need to work on Alessio’s and his interaction anyway but on the other hand Vulferym would work perfect for interaction with Alessio and the main villain too so…This isn’t really helpful is it…maybe Marek? 🙂

Oh ok! *sheepish grin*. Lemmie see we’ve gotta fair number of more or less easygoing people in the castle and a fair number of characters with semi-antiheroish feels. Man the half-spider just sound cool but characterization need important practice, I guess I’ll go tenitively with Virtus. He’ll add some antiheroness to the atmosphere and that could work well off the other characters. Maybe just try him a couple days and see he’s fun to work with and if not shift to Asor?To be a light to the world you must shine in the darkness.

Hmm… I’m kinda leaning towards Vulferym, to be honest. Especially since he’s my main villain, and I feel like I need to have him fleshed out more than a side character. But at the same time, I wanna do Marek… I’m so indecisive aaaa XD

So I’m gonna go ahead and give a more detailed description of Vulferym! I think I’ve decided to go with him, and then do what @joelle-stone is doing and bring Marek in if/when I get tired of Vulferym 😉
So, a friend of mine drew him for me actually! (She’s not on SE, but… all credit goes to you, Amelia!) And she did literally such a good job 😀 This is exactly how I picture him.
He’s from the same story as Dharin, set in my fictional world’s equivalent of the late 1600s or early 1700s. (Something like that anyway. Not gonna be exact.) He’s the commander of the largest groups of bounty hunters (so Dharin, Marek, and the third member of their trio, Kylian, are all under Vulferym’s command). He’s in his late 40s-mid 50s. Tall, about 6’3″. He has a smile that would seem caring and gentle if it wasn’t for his eyes – piercing, cold, heartless. He’s very rich, and likes to show it off. He wears silk, probably, and prefers to wear dark blue, crimson, and black. He wears a rapier with an incredibly fancy hilt on his right hip (he’s ambidextrous, though he pretends he’s left-handed), and has a dagger hidden in a special fold of his clothing that was custom-tailored for that very purpose.
To give y’all an idea of his personality, and the whole thing with his hands, here’s the non-canon snippet of writing I did:

Commander Olavir Vulferym sat at his desk, in a lavish, new chair, reading over a report. One leg was crossed over the other, and he tapped his slender fingers on the varnished desktop as he read. He wore only three rings; one on his right hand, two on his left. The one on his right was his signet. The other two were just for show. He never wore more than three; men who wore more than that were, in his opinion, often trying to hide their hands, rather than show them off. Three was a perfect number for him.
He sat back from the report, stretching his right hand out before him, admiring his fingers. So soft. So beautiful. So… perfect. A smile played across his lips. He rested his elbow on the arm of his chair, propping his head in his hand. He admired the other, now. A green ring on his first finger, a blue one on his pinky. A frown now creased his brow. He turned his hand this way and that, trying to decide what was wrong with it. He took his rings off, and swapped then around on different fingers. Then it hit him.
“Red… We need a red one.” (For he referred to him and his hands as “we”.)
He picked up a silver bell from his desk, and rang it. It produced a delicate tinkling sound and a servant appeared, bowing.
“Yes, Commander?”
Olavir considered a moment, then tossed the green ring to the servant.
“Find me a red one. I shall be wanting it tonight. You are dismissed.”
The servant bowed again and retreated, and the commander resumed his reading.

A few hours later, there was a knock on the door. Commander Vulferym turned from his mirror, where he had been straightening his suit. There was a ball tonight, and he would be making a speech.
“Come in.”
The servant entered, bearing a small box. He bowed, and presented the box to Olavir.
The commander opened it, and took the ring from its velvet cushion, slipping it on his finger. It fit perfectly, of course. The jewelers knew his measurements.
He dismissed the servant, smiling down at his hand. Now it was flawless.
“Yes…” he murmured. “We look very nice now.” He held his hand up to the window, letting the light bounce off the rings.
“We look perfect, my love.”_____
So there ya go! That’s Comm. Vulferym 😀 Creepy man…
I think I’ll take Dharin out now. Hopefully that’s ok!

Oh no! I wasn’t quick enough. Ugh! I wanted to talk to Dharin! *cries*
But I loved his ending. It literally almost made me cry lol!

And now we have a masterful (amazingly drawn) villain with a cool name and hands he talks to like Gollum talks to the precious. *shivers* Scariness! He and Virtus are no way going to get along. 😛

@beth20 Aaaaa I’m sorry!! If you want, you can write a scene that went between when Jaylin sat down with him behind the bookshelves and when Dharin faded? And then maybe just put a note that tells when it happened?

lol, he’s seventeen but he always manages to come off as a couple years younger. He’ll get so frustrated by it sometimes that he’ll just stand there with his head bowed dramatically like a suffocating martyr.
