Yeah, thumbs up are pretty good too. I also use them all the time in real life when I want to give a response to a person, but don’t feel like talking haha.

Yes!! I completely get that! That’s basically my plotting. I know what point A and point B are, but when it comes to all the stuff in-between, I just think, “Eh, I’ll make it up when I get there.” Which probably just means that I’m too lazy to do it XD
Yes, exactly! Jelly-like and spattered with deep, black, and seemingly un…[Read more]

Ay, thine judges succeed all earthly standards! I hast no unsastifaction (I’m fairly sure that’s not a word :P) with thine work! They art more than I deserve. Accept thine’s lowly servant’s deepest gratitude, and hie not to berate thine work! ’twas a delight to read yon judges’ descriptions, and will thou send thine sister my t…[Read more]

Welcome! Nice to meet you! So glad you’re joining! And yes, I completely understand not being able to write consistently. I’ve been on Story Embers a lot less lately because school is going kinda crazy. 😉

Would you like to join our RP (role-play)? We need as many people here as we can get.
And welcome to Story Embers!! 🙂
Thanks! I actually couldn’t get it to work until recently, so no, that’s a first. 😉

The judges sounds great!! If you feel the girls and boys are too polarized, you could maybe switch some of the personalities? Otherwise I really like them. The ‘wacky’ effect is golden for some side characters, and having those larger than life personalities always adds some fun to the story.

Oh, you don’t have to dump the countries altogether! Like I said, if you already have them we might as well use them. I can always come up with extra characters that we need, so just gimme what ya got.
We also need a few of those sixteen other judges’ personalities, if it’s no trouble… I already have a few. We still need sever…[Read more]

Yes, please, more characters!!
We have a ton of countries so far, but not nearly enough characters to compete for them. We only need characters now. If you already have a country/ country idea, it’s totally fine tho.
I’ll try to match up the characters with the countries best suited for them.

So you hit the nail on the head for that one.
I always laugh a little to myself when people put me and that expression together. I am very clumsy (and really, really, spacey when I’m tired), so let’s just say giving me hammer…is not a very smart idea… 😛

So true! I like to compare book series I’ve read, and one thing I was noticing the other day was how one used a TON, but in the other there’re were any barely commas!

You’re pretty funny yourself. 😛
Also, I want to say thank you for the word ‘persnickety’. I hadn’t heard it before, and now it is possibly one of my favorites just because of how fun it is to say.

Wow, I can’t remember anything, but that rings a bell. Yeah, I think so.
We have another problem. I have the poem I wrote for the map written down, but not everyone else’s (I don’t think). I’ll try to find it and post it, so we have some kind of jump-starter, if @wingiby-iggiby can’t find her doc. 🙂
