Hey, @hope-mcclellan!
Welcome to the Forum and SE and all that other stuff that people say when they are saying hello to somebody for the first time!
I’m a freshman in high school and a Christian, and I love to write fantasy, build fictional worlds, construct languages, write maps, and all that other stuff that goes along with writing fantasy.…[Read more]

Yeah! I was watching this show where this brother and sister got their wisdom teeth pulled – the sister is usually the loud one and the brother, the quiet one. It was switched. He was loud and talking about Bumble Bee Tuna all the time and she just sat there quietly sipping her milkshake. It was hilarious!

Yeah, I’m getting there. They definitely help to add character and depth to the peoples and and histories.
Is that in the extended edition?
Not sure if this is the same kind of food, but my family likes going to the Rice Bowl and they serve absolutely DELICIOUS Asian food. What kind of food do you eat there?
I bet! My…[Read more]

Yes, flow is definitely one of my strengths in writing poetry (not to boast), and I am always trying to write poetry that readers can follow and not throw down for lack of flow.
Poetry, to me, is a mystery. It is a way to thread emotions into a form that anyone can read. Maybe not understand, but read. And maybe pick up the general…[Read more]

Gee thanks, @noodle-mum!
Do any of you Scribes ever write something then look back at your older writing and realize that the latter is much better?

Yeah, I love the LOTR, too! (I haven’t actually read all of it but I’m on the last one and going). I still know most of the story, though. I also like the Hobbit and all of his other writings.
The Chronicles of Narnia are good in their own rank, but along with Tolkien’s, there’s not much to compare.
I’ve read the Inheritance…[Read more]

@eden-andersen Yeah, I’ve got most of his works on Sherlock, but have yet to read them.
I enjoy the Bible, aaannnnddd the New Testament and the Old Testament, aaaannnnnndddd fantasy and anything that gives a great emotional experience.
Ha, yeah, cool.
I write fantasy and poetry. I’m thinking about writing contemporary, but not sure yet.

That one’s nice; I like the simile and the freeness of thought.
Maybe, cool. But really, it could mean this: When you’re thinking, your mind goes off into rabbit trails and you think of ideas and it’s all a jumble. Then…light bulb.

@daeus-lamb -starting from the top-
Why, thanks! One of my specialties. Confusive writing. I also have this thing with coming up with words that aren’t in the dictionary, but still mean something. Weird, I know.
Yes, it may seem that way, but I put that there because I was meaning to mention – I do this a lot, to(o?) – the folding sheets of the…[Read more]

@emberynus-the-dragonslayer Not at all.
Would your character rather live for five years in freedom and then die or live for fifty years imprisoned (and then, you know, die)?
Athlanntier: Prison. I could spend fifty years trying to figure a way out and be free of anything in the end.
Iflanndier: That’s not how this works! What are the conditions…[Read more]

@bama-rose Yeah! Maybe it’s just their natural response.
Yeah, and with God’s help, I got through it. But people will be people and that’s not right and it’s got to be confronted and be up for debate. I mentioned a few definitions from a dictionary and also some verses talking about things like this and how they’re wrong. My parents really helped…[Read more]
