Thank you so much for the list! She actually does have a soft side, and becomes a healer eventually(well, she’s still a warrior with impressive swordsmanship as well, but she becomes a healer to help her friends and new-found family since they all have a stubborn mentality when it comes to taking care of themselves…. let’s…[Read more]

@the-fledgling-artist I don’t even know if I can think of that many poses! haha! xD
But I’ll definitely participate as much as I can! Maybe this will get me back into drawing, since I’ve hardly been doing anything art related lately. 🙂

@the-fledgling-artist Yesss! It’s always fun to be encouraged and encourage other people as you see them improve, and I’m betting that a lot of improving is going to be done x’DDD
We can do it! That’s a lot, but we can do it!

@the-fledgling-artist That’s a looooooooooot of drawings…
*slams hand on table* I’m in!
I think I’ll do 500 instead of thousand though. That would be way too much for me haha. I’ll be focusing on gesture drawing and anatomy. Both for humans and animals. Sounds fun!

@the-fledgling-artist I agree. Sometimes we have to make hard choices but after all it’s all for His glory.
@daeus-lamb I’m not necessary thinking of idolatry. Though that could be a problem too. I’m more concerned about if we should portray God in a made up world at all. Like Ashira said, to me that would be dangerous ground to walk on. This…[Read more]

Haha I actually love writing female characters! I think it’s because I like stories that are differently-heroic and female characters offer lots of variety to show strength in different ways.
I agree with @the-fledgling-artist in that so far, your character sounds obnoxious. In general, when I try to create characters that I h…[Read more]

As christian writers we all want to share our faith with the world. However, when writing a fantasy novel that’s set in a different world that get’s a little harder. I actually even stopped writing a story I was working on because of the topic started by @daeus-lamb on christian stories. I wanted to honour God with the story but I felt like it was…[Read more]

You can if you really want. I intend to, I just need to get free, which prob. won’t happen for a while yet.
I was just gonna have John’s hologram explain breifly and vaguely and leave, maybe giving Kavery a tracker, maybe not, but you can do what you want, if you want.

@the-fledgling-artist It depends. Sometimes it takes me an hour or two, if I know what I wan to say, and sometimes it’ll take me a week because I get distracted and move on to other things. Sometimes my friend will force me to make a few panels when I see her. 🙂

Macey Bourque replied to the topic Any other graphic novelists out there? in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 6 months ago
@the-fledgling-artist Hmm… a friend of mine has a square-making template thingy, that might be useful. 🙂 I make my panels on my own. After a while they start ending up pretty nice and you get used to making neat little squares and rectangles.
And now I must figure out how to get pictures on this computer without emailing them to a friend f…[Read more]

Ummm… sort of. I was about 10 pages into #1 when I had the trilogy idea, so… technically, yes! 😆

@the-fledgling-artist You might want one just in case, so when or if the occasion rises, you can be prepared. 😉 Plus, it makes it easier to explain to other people in some cases.
I’m not entirely certain yet… I only know it’s going to be an all-out final battle against the elves, who are being controlled by the Soul Queen. Maybe… I don’t…[Read more]

Ooh, cool title. I think it’s good! I’m trying to do a kinda 1 word thing. So far I only have Quest, and the second one might be called Return. (Cuz they go back to the Magic Realm) And I have no clue to call the last one yet. I have a few vague ideas. 🙂
So… I’m assuming your world is called Drakelle? 😉 Nice name.

Macey Bourque replied to the topic Any other graphic novelists out there? in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 6 months ago
About three or so years, from when I first had the idea. Like you, it’s going very slowly.
Hey, that’s really cool! That actually sounds a bit like the 2nd and 3rd for Quest. 🙂 Weird coincidence. Do you have an idea for what it’s going to be called? Super cool idea. 😀

Macey Bourque replied to the topic Any other graphic novelists out there? in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 6 months ago
@the-fledgling-artist Quest is about 3 kids who travel to the Magic Realm to save an old friend of their parents, who was trapped there in the form of a dragon about 20 years before. It was supposed to be a stand-alone, but a month ago my brother forced an idea into my head, so now I’m plotting a trilogy, Quest being the first one. The next two…[Read more]
