@steward-of-the-pen and @anne_the_noob14 – Thank you! I’m so glad you both like the names!
No idea if you’ll see this in time (seeing as it’s supposed to be done by tomorrow xD) but I finished the story’s draft, if you want to check it out.

@evelyn Unfortunately my counselor fired me yesterday. She basically just said “You’re doing everything right, keep taking your medicine, aside from that I can’t help you because it’s perfectly reasonable that working your job would give you depression and boredom-anxiety. Get a new job.” So I don’t really know what to do.
My job involves putting…[Read more]

Since I think we’ve mostly agreed to go with our previous idea (although @azeline-d‘s thought was very fascinating and one I would enjoy delving deeper into), I went ahead and wrote the first scene, coming up with a bunch of names that you can feel free to change. Personally, at already 969 words, I think it’s too long, but I’ve always been bad at…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: left;”>@steward-of-the-pen @azeline-dΒ Ok so I like the idea, but like Steward says, it might take a lot more research than we have time for. We could keep that plot in mind for some future war when we have more time to work with it π Thanks for jumping in!</p>

@steward-of-the-pen I haven’t gotten much done except editing since school started. π
@anne_the_noob14 Your WIP sounds interesting! It reminds me a little of Monsters Inc., but it’s more somehow. What are your plans for it?

Hey guys! Sorry this is so last minute; I completely forgot about the guild war. 😧
I know you guys have already gotten started planning and that we have likeβ¦ only 2 days left, but I just wanted to throw this story idea out there just in case it might work. Since @j-a-penrose…[Read more]

Ok cool!
Nice nice nice! I like it!
Lemme think about that for a bit..
@elisha-starquill Oohh yesss I like!! Whachoo think, Steward? (Can I call you that?)
(I hope I’m doing this quoting stuff right lol) *nods* *is going to say something* *forgets what it was* *nods more*
Oof.. Yeah, I don’t wanna try to write a…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14Β – Great idea! What if we made the animal a sort of beautiful, colorful, sparkly bird, like an upgraded peacock? Culture B is fine with eating them, but Culture A worships it because it’s one of its gods.
@steward-of-the-pen – Thanks! I agree, no magic. Your plot is pretty good! I think the protagonist should be more of an…[Read more]

Like the Amazon burning. *shoots face-melting glare at the billionaires who aren’t helping*
Ahem.
I like Steward’s idea. Like A is protecting cows (or whatever) because they’re sacred to their god/idol/whatever, and B understands that, but also knows that both A and B are…[Read more]

Sorry guys, I’ve been on a no-internet vacation for the last two weeks, so I didn’t see this until…a few minutes ago.
I really like @steward-of-the-pen‘s thought of worldbuilding (totally not because that happens to be one of my few strengths xD) and @j-a-penrose‘s idea of a good sort of collision. Most people think of negativity when they hear…[Read more]

@steward-of-the-pen I’ve written like a sentence, but I’ll go ahead and paste it in the doc so other people can add on. I need to get off the computer and take a break cause I can’t focus lol. I kinda have an idea where to go from here, but my feelings won’t be hurt if somebody takes off in a different direction. π

Ok so here’s what I’ve got.. I’m not sure where I heard of the idea, and we’d have to be careful we modified it enough as to not have like a copyright strike or anything, but here’s what I wrote down (word for word) while I was brainstorming a few minutes ago:
“Modify that plot about this Indian guy or whoever, who can’t eat…[Read more]

@steward-of-the-pen That would be cool! But like you say, Monday is the deadline, and we’d still have to have our amazing guildmaster look over it first and all, sooo… *grimaces*
We could do a comedy.. I’m better at comedies than serious stuff (I’ve often been told that “when I read this, I’m not sure if I’m supposed to laugh, or what. It’s…[Read more]

@steward-of-the-pen That would be pretty manageable. So like representative/community. *nods* I like it. So as for plot… Did MC’s country send him/her (I’ll just say her) to speak with the leader of this other country for some specific thing (and did MC want to? That might be useful to know), or what exactly? As far as the cultures, will they be…[Read more]

@steward-of-the-pen That’s true… I guess it depends on if (if person/person would indeed end up being easier/quicker) we want to go for longer and possibly better-fitting the prompt, or quicker and maybe not so prompt-fitting. We only have a week left, after all… Maybe we could average the two and go for family/family. It would cut down the…[Read more]

@steward-of-the-pen Weeell, I’m also into made-up worlds, but thanks xD Yeah, that would make sense.
@j-a-penrose Awesome!
Ok so serious story it is. Plot ideas?? I feel like one with person/person might be easier and quicker, but… *shrugs* That’s just me. We could focus more on their own morals/”personal cultures” as opposed to a whole…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14Seeing that it’s Daeus judging, I’d be saying go for serious. He’s into serious, symbolic stories. Jane and I enjoy action, feels, and humour. Faith loves sweetness. Maddie loves…I don’t know what Maddie loves. Martain is a bit like Daeus.
So yes. I’d be considering aiming for serious, and probably a…[Read more]
