@esjohnson @princess-foo @elizabeth @aster @r-m-archer
Are these your whole first chapters? Most of them seem rather short. Not that my chapters are very long, or anything.
Here’s mine. These actually are the prologue and pre-prologue. My first chapter is still in work. The pre-prologue is not having much to do with the rest of the story, but I…[Read more]

I’m kind of curious to the main character’s name. Is it revealed soon after? (That could just be me, I like to know the narrator’s name pretty soon off. :))
“Hey!” I shove him away. “My sister is in that class, dummy.”
He gulps. “Ah. Right.”
I was thinking they were joking around, but then the response is much more scared than I…[Read more]

@elizabeth someone’s eager to get out of school, aren’t they? I can practically feel the excitement radiating off the pages, it’s that good. I’d probably read it. 😉
@princess-foo it is Hebrew spellings! Glad you like it! (And go homeschoolers, cause I’m one of them and the freedom is exhilarating. That cashier has no idea what she’s missing.…[Read more]

Thanks @princess-foo, I have read the first three of Chuck Black’s Kingdom books. Another book, which I liked was The Princess Adelaina Story. That was sort of a medieval version of the story, but I think it might be based on true events? I can’t remember. I guess when it comes to history, you have to find the right balance between showing a new…[Read more]

@princess-foo, I think you meant to tag @inkling-for-christ. I never took part in this discussion, because I don’t watch super hero movies.

Now I finished the Wingfeather Saga! It is… everything you said above. I was shocked after finishing it!
I quoted part of what you said to describe how I felt about it to a friend. (in the manner of Oskar N. Reteep.) Hope that’s ok!

@princess-foo, I get ya. It did feel like some of them were just there. I also think its hard for those just coming into the Marvel universe because they won’t understand a sentence unless they have watched all 18 movies. I have friends who are just now watching marvel and they feel so behind.
Personally, I’m not sure what is going to happen. T…[Read more]

@princess-foo, Welcome! I also am a homeschooler, am part of a large family, and a fantasy lover. Vip (my tiny pet dragon who is sitting on my shoulder) also greats you! He doesn’t have anything in common with you except loving fantasy.

@princess-foo My family has the extended version also, but critiquing the battle plans? That is a great idea!

Hi @princess-foo and hi again @evelyn! Hazah! Homeschoolers! 😀 Yay! I wonder how many homeschoolers there are in the world.
Do you guys like Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit?
That’s, I guess, all I have to say… except: welcome here!

Hi @princess-foo!! And welcome!
Yes!! A fellow homeschooler-in-a-huge-family/fantasy-lover/Marvel-fan!! *grins excitedly* I’m glad to make your acquaintance! (Though I guess I should be careful here or I might get sparkles in my hair…) 😉
Congrats on working through your second draft of your book. How long has it taken for you to get there?
