I write fantasy or dystopian adventure, although I do struggle to finish my projects. I’ve also started  to write poetry but that’s still in its early days.

Taking the time to write a deep backstory for a villain helps so much in developing who the villain is instead of just throwing him/her in as a one-dimensional bad guy. The villain in my current WIP has such a terrible past that I almost cried while I was writing it and the villain is now my favorite character. 😀

@papergirlsfb Next time you can make your own post, that way it doesn’t get confusing with multiple stories trying to be critiqued in one post. 🙂

In a few days I’ll be away at a Christian convention helping out on the kids team and because I’m in Australia it’s summer for me. And the days that I’m away for are nearly 40C (100F) and that’s going to be really tough to keep the kids cool and happy and sleeping won’t be much fun either.

So I went through and read both version a couple of times. The second version definitely depicts Phillepe as a snobby prince well, but there are a couple of details in the first version I liked.
