@obrian-of-the-surface-world. I think the pacing was good–it certainly was in the dramatic read-through, but then I get bamboozled by the epic music, and lost in the storm of the words so…I’d have to read it again to see if the piece itself is paced well. I loved your music, btw!

Thank you, Brian!! You’re so kind 😊
That is just my prologue, so I didn’t put too much detail in it as I would for a chapter. When that part of the story happens, I will definitely include the detail it’s missing.
Unfortunately, that part of my book is planned but not yet written. I thought doing this would motivate…[Read more]

Your post disappeared but here’s the response I wrote.
So I’m tight for time right now, but just in response to some of your stuff, I don’t think I completely understand the illustration of the billion dollars. I think it would be better illustrated by a very rich man going into the city streets and saying to him w…[Read more]

Agreed. May man be fools, only let God be glorified. And yes, without scripture, we are blind men in the dark. Thanks be to God for his Word.
In response to number 1, yes i do believe they were saved. I think Hebrews 11 makes it clear it is by faith they were ‘counted as righteous.’ But i think the emphasis is…[Read more]

First of all, excellently made argument! The use of scripture is great, as it should be the only thing used in primary theological debates.
So when you address God limiting his atonement, also known as ‘limited atonement’ I think we disagree. Also, it should be noted that the use of limited is a poor rep…[Read more]

Alrighty I’ll be the first to throw down on this Friendly Debate Clearwater Revival (It’s a lazy joke, don’t think too hard about it.)
Violence in Christian Work?
I think it depends on the genre. Christian-written Adult/sci-fi/fantasy/other mature styles? Let it all in! The Bible has a…[Read more]

Predestination or free will? (because theological debates lol)
Is it possible to maintain innocence without living in ignorance? (something I’ve been contemplating for my next fantasy book…)
And if you have other…[Read more]

Greetings writerly companions!
As you could cleverly deduce from the title, I’m looking for advice on the basics of the noble craft of the whodunnit.
Out of the blue, I had a concept for a mystery novel, which may or may not be induced by my recently heightened consumption of Agatha Christie novels.
The problem is that I am very much the…[Read more]
