Hey Saxon Scribes!
At long last, the prompt war is back. This one should be interesting:
Write a mystery.

Dealing with multiple ideas
Most writers have more story ideas than they know what to do with. If youāre in this boat, you need to know how to cut through the clutter and make the right decisions. Here are a few things Iāve learned that have helped me.
Write everything down
Writing your story ideas down cements them in your brain. Youāll be ab…[Read more]

@msqueen8 Yeah, that’s very helpful! Okay now to answer your questions:
Yes, to both of them. But is being feminine something you have to teach a girl? Isn’t it just a part of who she is? I dunno.
I guess one other thing I would add is that more than teaching a girl to be feminine, you should teach her where her identity lies. When we…[Read more]

@eden-anderson I know XD but there are so many other books on my TBR list, and the LOTR books are so long, so they haven’t made it to the top yet. I want to read them by the end of this year though. And I loved Faramir too! Actually, his story made me cry this past time I was watching the film. :'( I don’t think it’s a bad thing either. I was just…[Read more]

@msqueen8 Well, although I have spent some time thinking about this subject, it’s not like I’ve really studied it or anything like that. 🙂
Also, just for clarification, I’m only 17 so I’m still trying to figure out all I believe about this topic. 😊
Before I answer your question, can you please clarify what exactly you mean by “femininity” or…[Read more]

@msqueen8 I think Kate answered your question. 😊 A person shows the greatest strength when they strive to become who they were created to be.
@cassandraia First off, you really NEED to read the LOTR books.😊 At least if you want to understand the characters better…the books add so much depth and clarity that you don’t necessarily get from just…[Read more]

@msqueen8 absolutely being feminine is a strength. It’s living up to your God-ordained role and calling. That takes guts and faith and a whole lot of other things you don’t have if you’re weak. One of the nice things about living up to God’s difficult stuff, though, is He gives you the strength to get there. š

Hey Saxon Scribes,
As you’ve noticed, activity has been pretty low here. Same with the other guilds.
That’s fine if everyone’s busy, but if it’s just because the guilds weren’t attractive enough…
Well, we should do something about that then.
After talking it over with some of the other SE staff. We have an idea. This isn’t a premade…[Read more]

Greetings Saxon Scribes,
I’m really excited about this new prompt war because I think it’ll be a great learning experience and result in some wonderful submissions.
Our goal is to write a story where we bring out the beauty of something ordinary in the middle of a very dramatic setting.
Unfortunately, I’ll be out of state during much of this,…[Read more]

So, I’m afraid I made a big mistake. I could use some recommendations (see below).
I have this free book I give to people who join my email list (see here: http://thescratchingquill.com/the-golden-ziggurat/). I’m planning to experiment with paid ads, driving traffic to that page. When people subscribe, I’ll market them a book. The hope is that…[Read more]
