    @mischievous-thwapling

    Hey there! πŸ˜€

    Nice! You can play guitar? I wan to learn, but don’t have the patience. I just stick with piano.

    Whoa, six siblings! And I thought I was driven crazy with 2…Siblings are great, though.

    Well I’d say write your fantasy one first, (definitely no biases here haha), but whatever makes you happy. πŸ™‚

    Yurgen’s…[Read more]

  • Congrats! I’ll check it out!

    (And possibly convince my book club to read it with me. :D)

  • Lona replied to the topic Hello there in the forum Introduce Yourself 5 years, 7 months ago

    Yes, I have! My best friend is super into it and had me read all 4 (-5- including the wingfeather tales), and I don’t regret it.

    Peet was probably my favorite character, if not Leeli. How about you?

    Oh, ok, cool! Sounds like a great organization! I wish you luck on your badge earning. πŸ˜€

    Well, you could always talk to a doll or something,…

  • @wandering-timberwolf

    That sounds interesting! I’d definitely read it. πŸ˜€

    And haha thank you. My 12 year old self would be happy.

    @wingiby-iggiby

    Hello!

    Is your name by chance from the wingfeather saga? πŸ™‚

    That sounds fun! What’s an AHG troop?

    Fair point. Though, I was talking to myself long before quarantine, so I don’t know if I get to blame it on that haha.

    Short spurts is great practice! Honestly I’ve only finished one. It was when I was a lot younger, and well, we…[Read more]

    @kimlikesart

    Sounds cool!
    I’ve wanted to incorporate magic into mine, but then I have to make laws and limits for magic and that’s just hard. Magic is just too magical haha. I’m working on it, though! πŸ™‚

    Nice! I like your variety. But, wow! Almost-publishable! Mine is an organized mess spread across 5-10 notebooks 2 computer files and a couple…[Read more]

    • @lonathecat

      Yeah, magic is a bit too complicated on several levels for me…

      You start writing in journals!!! Me too. All my books have started out in note-books. I’ve only typed out three of them. (:

      The creation of Ganeil…. The stars were the first created. They were alive, each given a purpose. Some were to sit in one place, giving light…[Read more]

    @arindown

    Thanks for the feedback!

    Yeah, now that you point it out I’m wondering how I didn’t feel the clunkiness of that sentence earlier. Definitely going to fix that.

    Thanks for the advice! πŸ˜€

    @kimlikesart

    Thank you! πŸ˜€

    Ah yes. Commas. I have never gotten along with them. Eh well I suppose I will have to figure them out at some point so might as well try sooner rather than later.

    Hm, ok good to know. I’ll switch up her vocabulary a bit to make it more fitting.

    Maybe he would, but the point is for him not to see my writing until…[Read more]

    Oooh yes, I do find it interesting! Thanks for the tag! πŸ™‚

    So, first off, I see where you’re (Eitan) coming from with the having good things work out for the Godly aspect, but I also think it can also work really well in the opposite direction. Like the righteous are the persecuted, instead of the champions and the kings. It opens…[Read more]

    Hello all,

    The basic version: I’m just looking for people who would be willing to critique some of my writing.

    The more complicated version, for people who like extra details and fun backstory: I have a good friend who also writes. However, my friend and I have never shown each other our writing. Why? I don’t know. We’re both pretty reser…[Read more]

    @kimlikesart

    Ahhh yes! World building is my favorite part of fantasy. Is your fantasy like medieval fantasy? Futuristic?

    Cool! Do you have a favorite time period to write about?

    Yes, I have made my own little universe. I’d say half of it is like our world; there’s knights, and merchants and peasants and normal human things. The other half, is…[Read more]

    @kimlikesart

    Nice to meet you! Thanks for the welcome!

    Come to think of it I don’t think I’ve ever written non-fiction, aside from journaling, that is. I write fiction, fantasy specifically. How about you? Which is your favorite genre to read and which your favorite to write?

    Oh haha, no. I’ve never had a pet. Lona is just the name of a white…[Read more]

  • Hello!

    Oh cool! What was your novel about? The first novel I wrote, if you can even call it that, was when I was 12. I had the the most stereotypical evil queen ever as my villain, and this obsession with twins. Almost everyone had to have a twin, forget the statistical improbabilities. Reading it now brings me pain.

    Hello, there my (probably) human friends. πŸ™‚

    I am a nerdy girl who enjoys all forms of the arts. Drawing, writing, reading, dancing, singing… (questionable singing skills, but still singing).

    Someone told me about story embers awhile back, but I didn’t really do anything about it. But then 2020 came along, and quarantine was like “Lona, you…[Read more]
