“We don’t have a lot but we’ll try to share everything alike here.” The boy gave her what looked like a welcoming smile. A half-hearted one at that. She didn’t smile back, simply swallowing the rest of her bread and stared back at him stonily.
She wasn’t sure why he was so willing to just let her eat. Wasn’t survival their top priority? She…[Read more]

No worries, life happens! Hope to see you around! <3

It was strange, Mayra thought. For just a moment there, the boy was looking at her as if he recognised her somehow. As if he knew what she was feeling. Not that she was feeling anything. She had been trained to feel nothing but numbness from a very young age.
Finally he turned away. As if she wasn’t worth the effort of looking at. “That’s it I’…[Read more]

“I’m going on ahead,” He says in hardly a voice at all, “if anyone wants to join me.”
“Wait,” Jericho called, catching his hand. “Do not go out alone. Please. Wait a moment more.”
She strode back to where Alessio and Nithel had placed Brendin on the bed with Alessio’s wrist still firmly in her grasp. “You misunderstand,” she mur…[Read more]

Thank you for your comments, Kimmi. I agree. These are tough topics and should be approached with much prayer, but if the Lord is drawing a Christian writer, anchored in the Word and an active and daily personal relationship pursuit of Jesus one might consider the words of the Lord through the…[Read more]

That character is terrifying! Great job!
Lemme see, right now there are: My character, Chantara (female), an assassin, who switches between false personas every few seconds.
@skylarynn ‘s characters: Þorunn (female) a shieldmaiden with serious anger issues, and Karayan (male) a feline vampire whose sole purpose i…[Read more]

Apologies for the absence…
“No,” Jericho said as Alessio volunteered to sacrifice himself. “No, wait a moment.”
Brendin had sat down on the floor with his back against one of the beds. “Jericho,” he said softly in Kithin. “There is a way we can do this without losing anyone.”
She turned to him, startled. “You speak as one of the Eya…[Read more]

Humility is necessary for any change, yes, it’s His Compass toward the Truth. So often we just take the word to mean hiding but that’s more often insecurity. I guess humility is the willingness to change in authentic search of truth, and respecting another’s personhood the way God respe…[Read more] -

Hey, sorry for the prolonged absence. The laptop I’d been using to write on here wasn’t mine, and I couldn’t get my own one for a while after I returned it. I didn’t use my phone because I have trouble typing on it, and my typewriter doesn’t get an internet connection 🙂 .

I wasn’t planning on doing that, I just meant the spelling was somewhat important to the meaning.
Also the castle has been somewhat dormant the past few days…y’all doing alright?

“We should…get moving..”
Jericho could feel the boy struggling to remain awake. “You may rest, if you need,” she said softly. Sleep. As Alessio fell unconscious the woman easily lifted him up and led the way back to the rooms they had found, where she laid him down on one of the beds. The dragon was no longer in the chamber, it seemed……[Read more]

“I don’t want to talk about it.” Alessio murmured finally. “What happened after you pulled back the veil?”
Brendin rolled his shoulders in an attempt at a shrug. “The mirror showed me a…” He hesitated, unsure. “…a nightmare, I think. Though it may have been a memory. I don’t know.”
Jericho took a pace closer to the boy and lightly put…[Read more]

The flames began to die down almost on their own once Jericho laid her hand on Alessio’s shoulder. Brendin lowered his arm and regarded the others. “What happened?”
@this-is-not-an-alien @kimlikesart Sorry it’s so short, but it seems the best way to move things along.

I just want to comment, you have been consistently spelling Bren’s name wrong. His name has an i where you put an a. Brend<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>i</span>n. It’s not a huge issue, I just noticed that it’s been continuous.
And I’m pretty good. There was a lot of stress about a week ago but that was figured out…[Read more]

“Gavin Thunderfoot. Halt.”
The mankind hesitated, as if considering obedience, then continued his rapid flight. Malvat temporarily lost sight of him as he wove around corners, but the sound of his thoughts let Malvat track him down.
Cursing the size of his dragon-form, Malvat paused his movement and cautiously tested the sturdiness of a wal…[Read more]

Hey everyone, sorry for the prolonged absence; there was a semi traumatic incident a few days ago and then my schedule has been booked since.
Jericho healed the wounds on Brendin’s face as quickly as she could without doing a hasty job of it. She needed to follow the others after Alessio had run off, but she couldn’t leave Brendin here alone…[Read more]
