Okay, critiquing here we come!
So, what I got from this is it’s kind of a bit of a fairy tale (Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, something about a Beast, which I’m not quite sure if that’s the Wolf or Beauty & the Beast beast), but taken to a more… mature level. Red Riding Hood is kneeling by her grandmother’s grave…[Read more]

Brendin is only in his thirties, I’m pretty sure 500-700 tops that…
Oh, whoops! I debated over that for a while, then decided that I was too lazy to check and trusted my memory. My bad memory. XD
(And yes, 500-700 tops 30s, ha ha ha. :P)

No, that was EXCELLENT critiquing!! I wrote this story… yeesh, like two years ago or something, and I thought it was so good until I went back and reread it for this. Then I was like, “Oh dear. This is not what I thought it was.” XD So we’re fixing it up!
Yurp, Nayandi’s the POV for the entire story if I remember right.…[Read more]

Haltingly the maiden came out of the passage and met Malvat’s eyes. “My dear Malvat,” she said, her voice soft but strong enough to reach all ears. “Do you not yet know it is rude to call humans ‘mankind’? It will not do.”
She doesn’t wish to make me angry, Malvat thought, studying her. Yet she wants to make it clear that she is able to take car…[Read more]

Does Malvat still understand? I don’t know…
Nope. He’ll be really confused and kinda mad and kinda impressed. 🙂 He speaks all the languages of his world, but since he’s not in his world, he won’t understand that one.
(And Nithel was a star once? SO COOL!)
My hope is that Jericho has sufficiently distracted Malvat tha…

Wow, we all have older characters. Malvat somewhere between *thinks* 500 and 700 years old, I think. So not old compared to Nithel, Brendin, and Jericho. 🙂
I didn’t know a church could die if it didn’t get a new pastor, the church always assigns new priests to a parish in the Catholic church…I’m so sorry I couldn’t…

Ah, okay, cool! Thx! Should I rewrite so that Malvat doesn’t know Jericho is there?

Tysm for putting this all together!
No problem! It was just a lot of cutting and pasting. XD
You’re also going to vote, right?
Oh yeah. I should probably do that. XD Thx for reminding me! 😛
And I agree. Judicial is really hard. 😀

I cannot answer you.
The thought came from the older Bearer. Odd.
Memories sashayed through the mankind’s mind, ones of villages burning, of people screaming – Malvat was taken aback. Had someone else used this Bearer for ill?
I was made into a warrior, a murderer. But I was someone else before. And now I do not know who I…[Read more]

Malvat looked back to the mankind as the sudden protective urge swept over him like an eruption. Were they brothers? No… friends. New friends. Odd that they’d developed such a bond.
I have nothing to hide from you. I am afraid. That’s what he had said. Was he lying? While Malvat considered lies extremely useful at times, most of the time they…[Read more]

With a yelp Riure tumbled from the air. Sadiq barked, whined, and growled at once somewhere above her, then Riure hit something – or someone – who let out a surprised whoosh of air. Sadiq landed on top of them both.
“I’m so sorry,” Riure gasped as she pushed Sadiq off and rolled to the side off of the person. They were smaller than she would have…[Read more]

Cool pics and great plot idea (yaaaasss, Brendin)!
@zee,
*annoyed sigh* RIGHT?! It’s so hard to find people like that online. Which is why I like silhouettes. 🙂 And she agreed to be my illustrator, but she’s getting so bogged down and stuff I’m thinking of telling her she doesn’t have to illustrate for me. She’s the kind of person…[Read more]

One of the mankind whirled around Malvat as he landed. The dragon kept his wings spread to make himself look as big as possible. The mankind couldn’t be much older than a boy, certainly not as old as Malvat himself. He held a red-fletched arrow to the string of his bow. The tip was pointed at Malvat’s eye.
Ha, Malvat thought. I could burn him t…[Read more]

Part I
“What was that?” cried a young woman, whirling to stare at the surrounding trees. “Nayandi, I’m sure I heard something.”
Her companion, another young lady of about nineteen, slowly notched an arrow to the string of her slender bow.
“It’s all right, Rhea,” she replied, after a tense second, letting the bowstring slacken and placing the…[Read more]

Here we go…
Introduction to The Half-ElfThis is not set in Middle-earth. I admire J.R.R. Tolkien’s works, so much so that I am creating a story not unlike his tales, but I do not wish to be such a copy-cat as to use his setting and his characters. I also do not feel able to recreate the people and places therein.
Therefore, although you ma…[Read more]
