One thing I’d suggest to escape writer’s block is talk to someone about your story – get excited about it again. Or, if you want a quicker remedy, check out the sprinting leaderboard I literally just made (XD) and sprint/race with some people. It makes it a lot easier to stay focused. 🙂 Here’s the link to…[Read more]

Hey guys! As a frequent Cdubber, I have found that “sprinting” and “racing” are extremely beneficial in my motivation for writing. Sprinting is for collaboration and encouragement, and racing is for those competative people who think contests make everything better. *cough cough* *whispers: “That would be me.”* *cough cough* If you haven’t ever…[Read more]

Thanks for the reminders! Here’s a piece of micro-fiction I wrote for a contest that I decided to use as a guinea pig. There’s a few bloopers, but let me know what you think (and if I did the link right).

Most of the time she and I use it to talk across a room when we don’t want to gain attention or have other people understand.
Ha, my sister and I do the same thing!
If I’m painfully bored I’ll spell my thoughts out in the ASL alphabet until either I’m no longer bored or my hand cramps

Honestly, the alphabet is the best thing I c…[Read more]

Thx for tagging me about this, Mr. Brian! I have a scene I’d love to get feedback on (and it’s so much fun to read stories aloud), but it might take some time to actually get it recorded. 🙂 I’ll get back to you!

“Pick a wall,” Alessio said to the newcomer, authority in his voice as flames crackled over his body. If Malvat had ever doubted that he was empowered, he couldn’t now. “If there’s not a door we’ll make one. Anyone who has an ability can start chiseling out a weak point. Malvat can ram it down then?” He looked up, dark eyes meeting Malvat’s. H…[Read more]

Woah… these are all excellent points! More and more I find myself incorporating the little bits of everyday life (and the non-everyday life) into my stories. I live on a farm, so I ride horses a lot – thus, I knew how to write it when my characters picked up a few. Hikes are great – it really helps you describe scenery!! All excellent points,…[Read more]
